Also, the evidence that was planted was also declassified. Or something.

FBI agents who searched former President Donald Trumps Mar-a-Lago home Monday removed 11 sets of classified documents, including some marked as top secret and meant to be only available in special government facilities, according to documents reviewed by The Wall Street Journal.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation agents took around 20 boxes of items, binders of photos, a handwritten note and the executive grant of clemency for Mr. Trumps ally Roger Stone, a list of items removed from the property shows. Also included in the list was information about the President of France, according to the three-page list. The list is contained in a seven-page document that also includes the warrant to search the premises which was granted by a federal magistrate judge in Florida.

Trump allies claim the former president declassified the documents recovered from Mar-a-Lago

It's almost certainly going to be stamped "Top Secret" on a cover page. FBI doesn't have to read anything past that.

They don't really have to read through the entire documents to identify them, and also I would assume FBI agents have a fairly high level of security clearance

Your concern trolling on this bought account is pathetic. Like in the other topic how you casually mention that the FBI could have planted the evidence, according to "Trump supporters".

Pathetic.

I know you're being obtuse on purpose but to work in the government you are granted a clearance depending on what you may or may not see. The FBI agents responding to these types of things will have clearances at the level where it's okay for them to see these things so it's not an issue.

Federal agents reportedly seized one set of "top secret/SCI" documents, the highest level of classification. Agents took four sets of "top secret" documents, three sets of "secret" documents and three sets of "confidential" documents, the lowest level of classification, the Journal reported.

SCI is the for real deal.

CP and gore is a bit different. Shit is just gross but the potential damage of an FBI agent going rogue and stealing CP and gore is very limited.

Top Secret information could get lots of people killed if disseminated. Could contain things like the identities of spies, secret military bases, etc.

I mean sure, but isnt that a risk with ANY person who has permission to access that kind of material?

Sure, too many cooks spoil the food, and all that, but it makes sense to me that there would be atleast some people in the FBI who has the permission, and can well read it and figure out whats happened.

Yes which is why Top Secret info strictly need-to-know. It's less likely to leak and if it does leak the list of probable suspects is very small.

Wray may actually have clearance to read some of it, but maybe not all of it.

This is not correct. CP and gore videos are not on the same level on classified information.

I was in the military and had held a level of security clearance (long since expired). Even with that clearance, everything was held at a need to know basis. Meaning, even if I held top secret security/ SCI clearance, I couldn't just waltz into certain areas and read documents unless it was essential for my job. A person whose job is to operate nuclear power plants on a naval ship (requiring top secret clearance) cannot read up on the identities of double agent US spies in Russia. Its not their job.

I don't know what protocols the FBI has to handle these situations, but I'm nearly certain there are specialized departments with agents trained specifically for this. The Robert Hansen incident comes to mind, though the details are quite fuzzy. been a while since i read up on that. I just remember that Hansen had access to top secret files and passed it to Russians. Some of that information was the identities of US Agents in Russia. When the US suspected Hansen's involvement, they transferred him out of the department he was working in while they investigated him. This was to remove him from any sensitive information and to contain the damage. He still held security clearance, but his job no longer required him to look at specific information, and thus effectively removed him from accessing any of that information.

Right. While I once, long ago, had a security clearance, I couldn't just walk down to my local Intel office and star digging through their files, everything was still need-to-know, and if I didn't need to know it I didn't see or hear it.

All that is to say, if these agents are sent to a site to find documents, then they've been cleared to know their contents. This isn't the local sheriff's office, it's the fucking FBI and it's comical someone could actually wonder "what happens if they see something they're not supposed to" and never consider that they have the clearance to handle the documents.
