So you could probably do it at a lower level with enough luck and a proper moveset. This makes their "super effectiveness" to Psychic type Pokemon tenuous at best. Basically, none of your Pokemon would be allowed to use damaging moves that are the same type as them and would get the same-type attack boost (STAB for short) so you have to rely on other coverage moves. GranAures posted... Pure gen 1 has literally 6 bug lines. This is a problem with nearly any monotype run in gen 1 except like normal, flying, and poison. Plus, no matter which gen 1 game you play, one of those bugs isn't obtainable without trading or using using glitches. You can't get Pinsir in Red, Scyther in Blue, or the Weedle line in Yellow.
