Oh shit I didn't see this until now. Well no write-ups were specified so:

THE FUCKING BABY > Jack > Lady D > Heisenberg > Marguerite > Dim Sisters > Donna/Angie > Moreau (even though he's technically THE BEST) > Lucas > Mia (kinda counts) > Mother Miranda > Eveline

Actually thinking about it more closely Chainsaw Mia might be better than Moreau & Lucas.

It's fun that Ethan has a nice little rogues gallery honestly, even if he's not the most interesting character on his own. It recreated the success of RE4's iconic cast so well.

Surprised Eveline ended up bottom tier, and Marguerite is probably higher than I would've had her, but otherwise I think I'd rank it about the same

Glad to see some credit for Lady D's daughters. She obviously gets the spotlight but the lore about the daughters is tragic and interesting, and the plea of "I don't want to die" when you kill the first daughter is probably the only time I've really sympathized with the enemies not counting the Baker dlc that shows that they were all basically Eveline's victims

Eveline played too much into a supernatural element that I don't think belongs in the series honestly. Like I know technically she's still just a bioweapon and having her "Old" form just around the house was very cool but I was never compelled by her and she wasn't even scary on her own either.

It may sound hypocritical because the Beneviento Mansion seems to be even MORE supernatural and I absolutely adore that section, but I thought they did a better job explaining the real effects in a more interesting and more scary way.

And Marguerite ranks high for me because I love body horror stuff and she was ABSOLUTELY disgusting to fight against, plus she has a fun personality. "HE'S NOT EATING IT JACK" is still one of my favorite lines in the whole series.

And I definitely agree about the daughters!

That's fair, I love body horror but I also hate bug enemies in video games and she's like somewhere in the middle of that lol. One of the most satisfying to finally kill though

Eveline I figured would rank higher just for the lore around her existing, given basically none of the other Bakers exist without her

Also Beneviento Mansion is pretty easily the scariest section in either game

I kind of wished Donna and Angie both had more physical presence because they're so cool and interesting but at the same time being mysterious and leaving me wanting more is good too!

Unfortunately they don't really hold up on replay, which for a Resident Evil game is a bit of a drawback.

I agree that Village is way less replayable than past entries but RE7's only drawback to me is you can't skip cutscenes. Otherwise that game has a ton of fun stuff - the X-Ray Glasses, neat weapons, the walking shoes.

Sorry I meant Donna and Angie specifically. Mileage my vary for the games in their entirety, but making pretty much every scene skippable in Village was appreciated for sure.

I do love the Rogues Gallery approach they've been going with lately though. One of the things that really made Village so good for me is that they were able to craft each location entirely around its specific villain (aside from the village itself, which was just caught in the chaos of it all in the middle) and it really made not just the villains feel distinct, but each of their "castles" as well

I'm going to say Chris. Rosemary is going to be the star of the DLC which is probably going to rule her out I'd say. I think we might see Jill again in the next main game too. It's a meme for the endings of RE games to never matter for the next but RE7 into RE8 changed that and I think they're going to continue with the corrupted BSAA storyline.

I'd be kind of surprised if we ever see Jill again. Aside from a remake, she hasn't appeared in forever.

I wouldn't be. She's still easily one of the most popular RE characters and being gone so long she's ripe for return.
