It's kind of borderline. They do a lot to streamline the process of obtaining the product compared to non-fast alternatives (drive-thrus, parallel processing, more pre-made stuff than might be considered typical), and as a result tend to provide faster service, but at their core they are still a cafe and their primary products (coffee et al) are prepared more or less the same way they would be at any other cafe for which you wouldn't consider asking this question. --- This is my signature.
