So like, you go in there ready to get the nice monterrey jack ones and you even check the sides to see since you've been had before. Nope. It was some meaty one. Anyone else? Had this happen in the deli with chicken wings too. Spicy labeled on the regular and the regular were spicy. I do love taquitos though. I should learn to make them. Anyone else had this happen with the mislabeled or related? https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/user_image/4/8/0/AAfGAbAADh8o.jpg --- "Torture experiments. We're all monkeys." "They hurt you?" First time I ever ate calamari was at a sushi buffet. They had the shrimp and the squid right next to each other, but the labels were not lined up with the products. And it was breaded and fried calamari, which looks a lot like fried shrimp. So I grabbed a bunch of it. As soon as I took a bite I could tell it wasn't shrimp because the texture was all wrong. I'd never had squid before and I'd always thought, "Eeeew! Squid!" but it was actually delicious! I used to love the all-you-can-eat at Mongolian Fire. I would always get calamari. I liked the crunchy sinewyness of it. They went out of business sadly. Muscles posted... I accidentally ate calamari once too, had to spit it out though, the texture made me gag It may have been poorly cooked. It's very sensitive to overcooking and turns quite rubbery if you get it wrong, which is unpleasant. That said, even perfectly cooked stuff is still a little rubbery compared to most other foods, so it might also just have been not your thing. It might be worth trying again, but it also might not. --- This is my signature. It exists to keep people from skipping the last line of my posts. ... Copied to Clipboard!

I actually had a similar experience the first time I had squid went to an Asian food buffet when I was younger and they had this food that very much looked like onion rings but was labeled squid rings and for whatever reason I assumed it was mislabeled onion rings, I just figured that Asian onion rings were chewier for some reason it wasnt until I went there with some friends years later when they pointed out that no it was in fact squid they looked like this https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/user_image/8/8/8/AAfSRzAADiDA.jpg --- She/her ... I went to a Jewish summer camp one year, and they had some kind of fish or something that for whatever reason I mistook for ham (I obviously should have known it wasn't ham). Sat at my table and put a bunch of it in my mouth and chewed a couple times before slowing way down. I must have had a confused expression; The counselor at my table was looking at me with a smirk and said "swallow..." I spit it into a napkin. I still don't remember what it was and it may have been good if I had given it a fair shot, but the surprise of it threw me way off --- PSN/Steam ID: Metalsonic_69 Big bombs go kabang. ...
