I like how MS just slowly incorporated pretty much everything from the Xbox One launch debacle into their service, and now it is largely cheered. They still get what they want, just had to do it slower.

The problem with the Xbox One launch plan was that it would have been a forced thing where the consumer didn't really benefit. Whereas with Game Pass its a choice, and it has a ton of value.

I really don't see Xbox regressing back to something as anti-consumer as what they previously planned, especially with how big of a stink that stirred up. Seems like everything they've done so far has just added more value to Game Pass without restricting the consumer, and it's apparently incredibly profitable.
