Also, page 3!

Playing Tales of Arise as well. [Getting a PS5 really opened up a lot for me, after staying on PS3 for so long.]

ToA: After playing it for approximately 2 weeks now, I'm past the second major boss in the game, and have invested about 13+ hours. Combat is quick, but things can get choatic when so many magic projectiles and etc. start flying around. Next thing you know, you've racked up a 100+ hit combo on a foe. Crazy.

52 Piece: I was not expecting the new lady to be Alvida, odd. Interesting sequence of events here! I am vaaaaguely aware of some Nami-related spoilers (from TEW, naturally) and I feel like we might be leading up to that?

Been messing with Dicey Dungeons for a while, had been quite some time! Enjoying it as a mindless game, got Jester and probably like him best.

53 Piece: I thought we were getting a 3-way battle but they jobbed Buggy and pals out real quick lol. Tashigi time, let's goooooo! And Smoker time! ....Except we get about five seconds of each, before the weird guy intervenes. He feels like somebody inserted him into the story to make it an AU.

54 Piece: Yay, a weird kid! It's kinda fun seeing how the gang handles her. Kinda weird that Zoro is balking at her food after his intro bit with the crappy riceballs! We're also looking for Dragonite, insert Pokemon joke.

Congratulations om completing the first saga of One Piece! How are you enjoying it overall?

I'm also curious what Nami spoiler you know.

Sadly we couldn't do a big Smoker battle because he could easily defeat the entire crew atm. Luckily a mysterious man was there to help, and there are many theories about the lightning bolt that saved Luffy also being him (and the big blast of wind). I look forward to you learning who that is in like a year...

Put more time into Shining Resonance Refrain: Found a reasonable leveling spot. One enemy that is worth 600-700 experience that is easy kill, and can be returned too very fast, so I was able to net a bunch of levels fairly quickly.

I watched the NFL game yesterday night between the Broncos and Colts.

Honestly, the final play call used by the Broncos was one bizarre way to end the game in overtime. The decision to go for it on 4th and 1 yard to go had me scratching my head in confusion.

A bit of background on the game itself: For all of their trips in the Red Zone [AKA, the final 20 yard distance to score a touchdown] during regulation, the Broncos failed to score a touchdown 0/3 times, and thus went for a field goal in all three attempts on 4th down. With their offense rather inconsistent all night, the only logical play should be the field goal.

Of course, the *big explosive play* mindset was the call instead, and, well, it was *explosive* alright, as it blew up in the team's and coach's face in spectacular fashion. Since it was 4th & 1 in overtime, a no score result recorded on that drive results in a game loss. A field goal would of tied the game 12-12, and the game would of continued for the remainder of the overtime period. [About 2:15 left on the clock.]

The outcome of that result sets the team records for the year to:
Colts: 2 Wins - 2 Losses - 1 Tie
Broncos: 2 Wins - 3 Losses - 0 Ties

Yeah, that was a strange decision on the play itself. This NFL season seems odd this year on a whole as well. Who would of thought the Giants and Jets would start the season quite strong too.

Jumping around from game to game, I started Dark Souls III.
Tough so far, but again, all Dark Souls games are. Up to Level 25, and I reached the first boss in the High Wall of Lothric. Unsurprisingly, I died of course. Oh well.

We finished the last Dragon Age Inquisition DLC yesterday.

It was probably the best game of the trilogy (though the 2nd was my favorite battle system) and best story but I don't know if I enjoyed it as much, weird as that sounds.

The previous games were really highlighted by the party members and especially their conversations walking around. DA2 had so many great conversations and you really felt like the party was developing their own relationships with each other and had different dynamics. You never walked long without a convo, at least not until the end game if you played a long time.

DA:I felt like I could walk around for an hour and get one conversation. Sometimes not even that. And always just between two people, never the three (or four if the MC got involved) way conversations of DA2. And the party overall was probably my least favorite. Very top heavy with Varric, Iron Bull, and Cassandra being awesome. Dorian was fun. Solas, Blackwall and Cole were interesting characters but often didnt add much beyond exposition. My wife and I basically forced ourselves to use and talk to Sera and Vivienne. The advisors were more interesting and fun than half the playable cast.

I also really missed the Friend/Rival system of DA2. And while Skyhold was really cool a lot of it felt like a wasted opportunity. The quest table and some of the side missions were great though.

Overall still a great game just don't know how I would rank this series.

Dark Souls III: Decided to upgrade strength to be able to wield the Great Axe. It requires 32 STR & 8 DEX.

My strength stat sits at 27. At the present moment, the weapon sits at an attack power of 188-75 due to the negative scaling.

I have a placeholder weapon for now, a Longsword+3. It has reasonable attack power for the early going leveling. Also, Titanite Shard drop rates are slow. When I gain enough, I'll throw them onto the Great Axe to pull that up to +3 as well. [12 Shards for +3]

55-61 Piece: I haven't had much to say but it's a fun arc! Apis is neat, Ryu-jii is cool, the villains are....passable. This ending is kinda intense though D: I feel like Sickle Guy came back a couple more times than necessary. Reverse Mountain is pretty cool! Seems early to be getting into the actual Grand Line, but we'll see.

12 Labors: I was just thinking "man I don't love how women are talked about in this sometimes" when one of the key pieces of evidence was that the culprit had (gasp) pockets! Anyway, beated, not sure what's next. This one didn't click with me as well as others I've read, it might be that it's short stories?

Welcome back to canon!

Reverse mountain (except sickle guy) and the calm belt really happened. Everything involving Apis and the dragons did not.

And yeah in hindsight it's kind of crazy how almost all of the show takes place in the grand line.

62: What the frickadiddly is happening and what is up with everybody's characterization. I immediately like Wednesday and Mr. 9 tho.

63 Piece: Laboon ;_; Sad animal stories always get me, man.

64 Piece: I appreciate how often Nami gets new cute outfits. I also appreciate Igarappoi's hair. Oh, this is Baroque Works, I've heard of thems before!

65 Piece: I like how they gave the trans-lookin' one a really cute voice, I'm guessing that's the first thing it is suspected I'll be bothered by but I'm not so far. One thing I like about this show is how the pirate and bounty hunter mooks still have pretty good designs. Like Zoro just spent half an episode one-shotting people and most of those people looked like they could have been fleshed out characters. I immediately love Karoo.

Dark Souls III: I encountered the known game crash when going from the Catacombs to the Abyss Watcher Bonfire. Ouch! At least, it's in an area I don't really have to return too, so, the glitch is at least avoidable.

Defeated a host of bosses.
Vordt of the Boreal Valley: For an early game boss, a fast boss with an the frost bite ability is quite lethal. When frost bite build up reaches max [which only takes literally 2 hits], your character suffers a sizable cut from HP. Took me a couple of tries before surviving.

Crystal Sage: A mostly a stationary boss that teleports around the arena. The only difficulty here is the summoned copies of the boss, meaning more projectiles have to be dodged as the boss's HP drains lower and lower. Fortunately, the main boss attacks with all purple hued attacks, while the copies have a blue hue to their magic, so, there's no confusion to which one is the real one.

Abyss Watchers: A strange battle broken up into two halves. The fight starts simple enough, until other Abyss Watchers awaken, and the secondary Abyss Watchers sometimes start attacking the primary one. Once all health is drained on the primary Abyss Watcher, the second phase comences with the final Abyss Watcher now having a fire effect on its blade. That fight is harder, because there's no distraction effect between the in-fighting of the multiple Abyss Watchers, and now, you are it's primary target. I suffered multiple deaths here before eventually prevailing. Plus, all I had left was a sliver of health on my life bar. Tough fight overall.

High Lord Wolnir: What an easy boss. It barely does anything at all, other than slow telegraphed lunges with it's arms, and, it spews out a poison mist from it's mouth, but, standing back is enough to avoid it. All you need to do, is hack off the bracelets on his arms. Sure, he has a lot of health, but, destroying one of his bracelets causes him to lose over 4000+ HP at a time, so, by breaking off the third one, it kills him instantly, so really, you're not dealing much damage at all before he's dead in no time.

66 Piece: Nami's crackin' me up this episode. I liked 5 and Valentine until he started fighting with boogers. Was hoping Ms. Monday would get a hit in but figured she wouldn't, oh well. This showdown is a lot sillier than I was expecting.

lost a few writeups to random bsods :\ Igaram tho. :\

69 Piece: I figured Coby would show back up at some point, but I wasn't expecting a two parter side story, or Helmeppo.

Touhou: Progress! Got Rin, Nazrin, and Wriggle, who came in for....Aya, Keine, and...Minoriko, I think. Bosses are weirdly tough lately though.

70 Piece: Dinosaurs and Ganon, I guess.

Chrono Trigger: Gotta go back to dinosaur times for a Dreamstone. I thiiiink my A-Team is gonna wind up as Lucca and....Ayla, who is a good time. I forgot she gets a healing skill, so maybe I can afford to lose Robo's Cure Beam?

Aria 3-10- The Excitement on that Moon-Gazing Night...: Alice is pro now, so we follow her to see how she's doing. She's having some tension issues. Forget that, though, moon-watching, complete with cute outfits for outdoors. Aika and Al continues to be a thing, and I like Al, but it seems odd after the whole Alicia thing, and the general straightn't vibe the show has. Lotta will they won't they stuck at the bottom of a well while Maa-shachou plays Lassie. They will, I guess.

It should be noted that 7 of those paints were scored by the defense.

New laptop GET! Still getting some of the stuff transferred over, but it's up and running, and it's a lot beefier than my previous machines, which leads me into my next point...

I have finally started vtubing! A little! Chrono Trigger is gonna be streamed instead of written up here, and indeed I suspect that's gonna be the case for most/all of my PC gaming moving forward. Come if you wanna, but you have to promise to be cool about doxing and identifying info and kayfabe and stuff, I don't want people from there finding me here. (or anywhere else I'm not in that character, for that matter!) https://www.twitch.tv/yuzuadagioch

Les Mis: Getting uncomfortably familiar sounding!

71 Piece: I feel like Nami was really brave and strong at first and now she's just Usopp #2. I don't know about this island man.

72-approximately 74 Piece: I don't love this arc but the giants themselves are cool.

Pokemon Snap: made several runs just to get the Frillish and then it didn't unlock anything >_<

Nami definitely has times where she and Usopp are both just normal people freaking out about all the scary stuff around them. But she also has times where she is confident and brilliant.

Often just depends on if she feels too out of her element, like when dealing with massive giants. If she is scamming people or doing anything navigation/weather related she is unflappable.

I will say she is quicker to suck it up and get past her fear than Usopp is. When things get really bad you know Nami will stand strong.
