At the present moment, the weapon sits at an attack power of 188-75 due to the negative scaling. I have a placeholder weapon for now, a Longsword+3. It has reasonable attack power for the early going leveling. Also, Titanite Shard drop rates are slow. When I gain enough, I'll throw them onto the Great Axe to pull that up to +3 as well.
