I watched the NFL game yesterday night between the Broncos and Colts.

Honestly, the final play call used by the Broncos was one bizarre way to end the game in overtime. The decision to go for it on 4th and 1 yard to go had me scratching my head in confusion.

A bit of background on the game itself: For all of their trips in the Red Zone [AKA, the final 20 yard distance to score a touchdown] during regulation, the Broncos failed to score a touchdown 0/3 times, and thus went for a field goal in all three attempts on 4th down. With their offense rather inconsistent all night, the only logical play should be the field goal.

Of course, the *big explosive play* mindset was the call instead, and, well, it was *explosive* alright, as it blew up in the team's and coach's face in spectacular fashion. Since it was 4th & 1 in overtime, a no score result recorded on that drive results in a game loss. A field goal would of tied the game 12-12, and the game would of continued for the remainder of the overtime period. [About 2:15 left on the clock.]

The outcome of that result sets the team records for the year to:
Colts: 2 Wins - 2 Losses - 1 Tie
Broncos: 2 Wins - 3 Losses - 0 Ties
