To be frank this is even more terrifying than a missile. Imagine getting sliced up by a rocket.

Missile & Catapult are the two most high level terms, one for thing flying through air and the other for thing that makes another thing fly through the air.

Most CEmen have enough gaming experience that this wouldn't work on them

This isn't exactly kinetic bombardment. Is is basically a series of blades attached to an inert missile that fires at a high velocity and slices through just about anything.(metal,glass, etc)

I recall CE talking about this thing a couple years ago

Regular Hellfire Missiles can travel up to Mach 1.3.

w/o a explosive payload and only 6x pop out slicing blades.

You're either going to hit him with the missile itself at Mach 1.3, that's ~ 100 lbs of missile going Mach 1.3.

Or you're going to shank the guy at Mach 1.3 with which ever blades hit him.

Rail guns are not really needed if you want to hit an exact target and keep the infrastructure.
Dropping a rod the size of a telephone pole made in tungsten from space should give an impact equal to 11.5 ton TNT. And as a bonus, it works as a bunker buster.
That said, it should be much cheaper to use railguns and shipping up ammo.

Usually there is one tryhard that says something like "Pffft i would heave seen or heard it and dodged it at the last second and flipped off the drone!"
