Do you think I'm a loser?

I must have these answers.

Not at all. Some places of work are really shitty.

No quitting a job does not make you a loser

The question is, why? Without knowledge of the incident, it's pretty lame to make a judgement.

incident

I was working too slowly at a task that I'd done only a couple of times. I already stopped caring about my job at that point, so my pace was partially because I was already in half a mind to quit, partially because I just don't move fast in general, and partially because I get so little sleep these days. I'd seen that my hours had gotten slashed in half for the following week, and it was then that I questioned further the point in continuing. On a previous occasion, human resources called me in because of my tendency to be far less sociable than what is required of someone working in a customer service role. From that point onward, I'd accepted the inevitability that I would one day get fired anyway, because I just abhor having to speak with people in general, customers, superiors, co-workers, and all.

You basically listed all of the reasons I never worked retail/customer service.

I would look into something like construction, machining, warehousing, etc.

Sounds like the job was a bad fit for you, have you considered looking for entry level work in maybe assembly/manufacturing or sanitation or something where you wouldnt have to interact with people so much?

I left retail for this. It has its upside and downs, but ai swear I deal with people more often now than when I was in retail. If you want to avoid people go for office work. My mom is in data entry and besides the occasional meeting she doesn't have to talk to anyone.

Yeah I worked Assembly work for at least 10+ years and I hated the people I worked with. Theyre all grumpy fucks and no one wants to be there.

I just want to mind my own business but everyone talks and gossips and gets in everyone elses business. The people fucking suck

at least in retail, youre constantly seeing new people. In manufacturing, youre forced with the same people for 8-12 hours a day for years

Retail jobs are probably the worst form of employment by design.
