A man on trial for a gang-related killing has escaped from the North Fraser pre-trial facility in Port Coquitlam. Police confirm Rabih Alkhalil escaped in a white Econoline van Thursday evening.
Rabih Alkhalil has escaped from a government facility and is at large. Police are also searching for two men believed to have help him break out.

Depends. It's not that simple. I know a inmate that's in for murder. It was self defense. Dude broke into his house aiming to kill him (rival drug dealer) he called the cops himself. He was just too stupid to toss his 17 plants before they arrived so the cops decided to nail him for murder since it was "drug related"

Since it was over drugs I feel a prison sentence was fair but I'd say the guy definitely deserves a second chance. I'd hope he realizes now the danger he put his wife and child in was not worth it.

I'm on the fence about crimes of passion. Someone murders a loved once cause they fucked them over seems like it would be only a one time thing. But then again they could have shitty luck or just attract shitty people.

There is a guy I feel bad for. I've heard two stories on his murder case. One was he caught his best friend fucking his wife and he killed em both then killed his own daughter. The other story was his wife killed the daughter (a baby) and he killed her. Either way dude is ruined. Shouldn't be on thr streets but prison ain't the place for him. Hebtalks to himself all day with body language and facial expressions to boot. You listen close enough he's talking to his wife and daughter.

Then we got another guy. 4 attempted murders in one go. He's got 80 years he will die in prison. No sympathy cause he's a gangbanger so I'm guessing it was a drive by or something else gang related. Gang or drug related murders (drug deal gone bad) I say fuck em. They clearly hold no value on human life

Eh, the only crimes of passion I think is remotely justifiable is if they murdered your family. Things like cheating is way too minor and is reminiscent of domestic abuse. The guy you're talking about sounds clinically insane though so his defence would probably be that.

People who escape prison are so badass to me. Like I cant imagine committing a crazy crime, then getting caught, going to jail, and then being like alright time to try and get out. I feel like it would just be a welp guess I live here now
