First of all, all you motherfuckers slept on the Meanwhile EP. Meanwhile, Deja Vu and Jimmy Jimmy all fuck hard. If you haven't given those songs the time of day, do so.

Secondly - The Fall is underrated. I'm not saying it's Plastic Beach, I'm not saying it's this deep, inspired descent into whatever musical cul-de-sac Damon Albarn was feeling at the time. If you want to say it's.one of your least favourite Gorillaz projects, fine - I'm gonna be mad if this album is below The Now Now or Humanz, but I get it. It's not "peak" Gorillaz.

I'm saying that for a travel diary set to music that was made on an iPad, The Fall is incredibly moving and very listenable.

You can listen to a song from The Fall and go "well it's not Every Planet We Reach Is Dead ", but that's not the point. Have some empathy. Consider what this would mean to the person making it, in this case 2D. Where is this music coming from?

I've ranked The Fall based on how much the songs make me want to cry. All my homies love The Fall.

Here's another one. Friday the 13th is a good song and always has been.

Octavian? Woman-beating piece of shit. We're all on the same page there. Friday the 13th - which came out before the allegations - wasn't received warmly for being a 2D-lite track.

But even now, if you remove Octavian being a domestic abuser from the equation, Friday the 13th is a fantastic vibe track. Brad Taste in Music was right, this is a great vibe track. I didn't like it the first time either, but I did grow to like it by the third or so time I heard it. Even Fantano was on the right track when he said this was a grower. Friday the 13th - despite the negative history which absolutely puts the song at a disadvantage, perhaps justifiably - is still a fantastic song.
