Black is classic. Really like the wine red too, but worry it may look purple in certain lighting.

If it were a bright red, I'd vote red. But that red basically just looks like black unless you're staring at it, so might as well just go full black.

Have some personality, go with red. Why does it matter if it looks purple in certain light? Purple is great too.

I'm a black-on-black kinda guy...but I do like the burgundy.

It's still gonna be slow af in comparison but you don't buy this bike for speed.

The red just looks too subtle to me. Its not bad but it just feels a bit off.

The black just seems like it will be more timeless

My Friend from Toga road her bike up and back to Brandon Vermont.
She's not a particularly big woman, but she's pretty kick ass...always has been.

Today, I'm walking my bike up to the closest bike shop.
My tire blew on my way back from the track the other day.
It's about about a 7 years old or more innertube, so, it was going to happen.

I might break down and get a front light for my bike, as the one I had shit the bed.

The sport bike was a 600cc, so I think the 1100 would be the most comparable since its a cruiser

the 1100 also has cruise control, and 3 different power modes. Ill probably leave it on rain mode until I feel comfortable going to standard. Cant see myself needing sport mode

We went out east through Smuggler's Notch and way out to the Hill Farmstead brewery and back. Then came back to NY and took Rt 8 all the way to Utica and back to GF.

I was pretty beat to hell by the end of it but my buddy had come all the way up from DC on a Triumph T120. I have no clue how he was able to make it that far. I rode his bike for like 30 minutes and my wrists were already hurting from the riding position.

God that was a great time. It was cold and poured the first 2 whole days which sucked but cleared up into gorgeous weather for the 2nd half of it.

Holy shit.

I rarely turn around on a trip, but I had to do it once going to Burlington, because of snow.
I was in a Buick...with friends. But it wasn't happening.

But even on a good day, that is a huge trip.
I used to stop at some ghetto ass gas station in Vergennes right next to Otter Creek to...one Pee, and two Get some Mountain Due for the ride home.

I've been caffeine free for a while, but I would repeat that tradition if I had to do it again.

After the last few years, it's so overdue.

I went to UVM and drove home for Christmas in a blizzard in a Honda Accord. Closest I've ever come to dying in a weather related accident it was terrifying.

Bonneville by chance? Thats the same bike Dick Grayson rode in Titans. Beautiful machine

Okay, I was gonna say, that is a huge trip!!!

I so want to get back up to Burlington.
I bought one one of...what would become my favorite Cranberries song up there.
I was already a fan of them, but they had....as we used call them an import CD and it has a song that was not released in the US. It's heartbreakingly beautiful.

I have other stories from up there.

I sent a guy from Derry Ireland who was going up there to R R.
He was asking me a NYS wine question. But I heard his accent.
So I asked where he was from. And he said, Derry.

I took a second and was just like, 'You just said Derry'
I'm not Irish, but I am mostly Italian. It opened up a whole conversation!
That one word did it.

I hope he checked out R R it's actually kinda nice.

I remember watching the 2010 World Cup there. Wild place. Lot of Netherlands fans, they stick out like a sore thumb with the orange uniforms.

I think so yes. It was amazing how much lighter and nimbler it was than my Harley.

The black one looks disgusting.

I vote red, though the black is really nice too. Also, as others have said, it looking purple in certain light doesn't sound like a downside to me.

Spent quite a few years there in college and went back a few times since. Haven't been since pre-covid. If I didn't hate winters so much I would strongly consider moving back there, or somewhere else in VT/NH.

I honestly don't remember that place too well I only went the one time.

Its gonna be so hard to decide on the engine without getting a chance to test ride both ugh

I really dont want to be second guessing my choice, wishing I had more power or whatever.

but payments would be a bit more manageable with the 500 as well. Id probably be able to do a 3 year loan instead of 4, and still be paying less lol

You're 100% going to want the 1100 if you are coming from another bike, especially a sport bike. CCs mean less in the world of cruisers, more is almost always better. I'd be really worried about growing out of the 500 almost instantly, and I've even read reviews that the 1100 is lacking in power.

I wouldn't probaby like Canada, but I'm not sure if I could take the extra few weeks of winter.
Not that it's really any better down here. Right now, it hot and oppressively humid.
We basically just get our ass kicked on a yearly bases.
It's actually a lot for the system to handle.

the financial part is half of it. Im trying to keep payments and insurance under $250 a month. 4 years would be the longest Id want to take out a loan for a bike.

especially since Im in ohio, and you can only ride half the year

Yeah I like that deep red a lot. The red is only available for the 1100 too. At least this year, not sure what the 2023 lineup looks like yet
