They dont need to be. also I respect the kill streak from the fat man in episode 4 too much to rate the show below the movies. Personally, id push hard for an old school anime adaptation because anything else is really wasting the characters. They're better anime than most real anime lol In a movie, they only have to show the character getting a fraction of what you use for the game, and managing their items for example doesn't have to take more than a few seconds. For example, and this is exactly what they tend to do, is to cut out most of the puzzles and just focus on one or two really good ones. The character is injured and they limp to someone's bathroom to use a First Aid Spray. Shouldn't go too far beyond that Mix up some herbs for an injured teammate, etc Not the 50 or 100 or whatever it is you find in game Same with the notes. Itchy tasty and some Umbrella propaganda with a few clues and maybe a note left by a teammate, and that's all the player needs to see Heck, if your average aficionado doesnt remember it off the top of their head, then it probably isn't really worth showing in an adaptation in most cases <cite>Xethuminra posted [p:966654993] in Resident E... But when your marketing goes to "we're being faithful to the lore" and end up not being faithful you probably shouldn't lie to people. If it is going to call itself the same name as the series it's trying to emulate it should tie in more to that series. I have the same complaint with the World War Z movie, it's fine as a movie, but it's not anywhere close to World War Z. This show may be okay on it's own. I'm still too early to judge.
