Same. I got all the rewards and a fair amount of the bigger chests, but I just can't be bothered to go back anymore. It's just not fun at all.

Idk aside from a few finicky puzzles and those raven statue ones I thought it was great so far *shrug*

Are you doing the commissions every day? Those give primos, exp, and keys to unlock more story quests so they're good to do.

Commissions in Genshin Impact is a system that players can unlock upon reaching Adventure Rank 12 and completing the World Quest Every Day a New Adventure. according to Google. I am Adventure rank 9, next real quest requires 10 and I've exhausted all quests.

What characters are you trying to level? Boss killing and leylines will give you some adventure XP, but they also use up your resin.

That said, if you're trying to rush to AR32 for the event, you still have a month to do it. I'd advise you to do Mona's side quest as soon as it becomes available because it's apparently required for access.

Kaeya, Lisa, Amber were what was given to me through doing some of the starter quests.

I will definitely keep that in mind regarding Mona's side quest. Thank you!

I haven't even done the "challenge" portions of each event yet. Getting through the story was just such a slog

Yeah I like it too. I've enjoyed playing it slow. Yesterday I finally finished the story part and from today I'm going to start doing all the challenges and hunting for treasure chests.

Ah lol sorry, been so long I forgot they're level gated. Yeah, I guess just go around exploring Mondstadt, shouldn't take too long to gain a level. If you haven't activated all the teleportation points, that's a good goal to work on, helps when doing quests later. Keep an eye out on the map for blue exclamation points, they're side quests. Not sure how many will be open for you at Lvl 9.

DarkRoast can tell you all about Kaeya, who is legit a decent character (but who I despise and will not develop). He's honestly quite good at cryo application. Killing the Cryo Whopperflower will provide items necessary for leveling him up.

You will also be picking up "Acquaint" Fates, which are wishes you can use on the "Standard" banner as well as a special banner that has a pic of Noelle on it. Only do "10 pulls" on this banner, as they will be discounted to costing you 8 fates for 10 wishes, and you only get to do two 10-pulls before the banner disappears permanently. That banner guarantees a Noelle on pull #8.

Once you reach an AR between 15 and 20 (I can never remember which, sorry), you will be given a free copy of Barbara.

You can also attempt the Spiral Abyss, there is no penalty for doing so and failing. Completing floor 3 will net you a free copy of Xiangling. Probably don't want to do that just yet, but keep it in the back of your mind.

hahahah, Mihoyo really hates this element. 1 electro particle every 5 seconds!

Hence why Raiden is made. And then they will realize (billions of years later) that electro is shit, then they change the resonance.

Just like how Zhongli being buffed saved Geo Resonance.

Shit. I was trying to put my daily primos into the weapon banner but accidentally blew my pity (was on pull 75) and got C3 Kazuha.

It would've been better if it had at least been a 50/50 loss. Sigh.

His C4 seems OK but I don't really need it

And from what people tell me, his C6 is fun but he's not really that great as a Main DPS

Well, there is the other way.

EM-Anemo-EM Kazuha standing on Bennett.

Maybe we'll get anemo shenhe someday.

Pyro, cryo, geo, electro.
Scaradouche or Faruzan just may cover anemo, Nilou may cover hydro.

I think that the point of his higher constellations is to make him good as a main DPS.

I mean, think about it. His C6 infuses normal attacks with anemo and gives a 0.2% damage bonus per point of EM. With 1000 EM that's 200%. Imagine that combined with the VV anemo damage bonus and an anemo damage goblet. Also imagine running him with a sub DPS like Xiangling who can constantly apply elements for him to swirl. I bet the damage would get pretty bonkers.

Question: is Thoma a good support for Yoimiya? I've only had him for a week but I'm trying to get some use out of him.

Thoma's best use is as a reminder that some characters are just poorly designed

For what it's worth, Yoi can have a 2nd ranged attack via Thoma's burst shield.

His shield may be paper but if it can hold even a single attack to prevent Yoi being yeeted then it is fine.

Well, I have to make do with the four-star shield generators I have because I don't have Zhongli and don't really want him. If they ever release non-loli five star Diona, I will pull.

It sure sounds like the only character you even need in Sumeru is Venti, based on what I've been reading

Shieldbot Thoma's shields are not paper, they actually protect quite well. Whether or not he's 'worth it" is another matter...

To which the answer is, maybe (if you don't have Zhongli). Yoimiya does need a shield, and the pyro resonance is nice.

But Zhongli can give you a shield that's strong enough for anything you see, with lower investment, and his burst will actually do some decent damage. And he'll shred elemental resistance. And if you also use Yun Jin, who is Yoimiya's best buffer, you'll get geo resonance which is better than pyro resonance.

But I see that you don't have Zhongli and don't want to use Diona so...

Maybe.

I mean, I begrudgingly use Diona. Currently using her in my Yoimiya team with Yun Jin. The lack of resonance improves Yun Jin's buff to Yoi's autos. I was just curious as to whether or not Thoma was worth the bother.

Think I'll just level him to 70 for the freebie fates and move on like I'd planned initially.

Thoma feels like he could potentially be ok with Dendro reaction stuff coming... but would be instantly outclassed by the first Dendro or EM scaling shielder.

On the third raven statue puzzle of the dungeon and about to give up on the whole thing. The actual fuck do they want here.

I did something I literally never ever ever do, and gave up and just used guides for all those puzzles because I do not give one hot s*** about those anymore.

Second dungeon of it went much smoother, it was mostly the two bridges in the first one that got me.

How far am I through the event? I finished monas dungeons, went around to some places the boat senses, collected some mechanical orbs or something and spoke to a voice in the sky. i cant find a next quest and i dunno what happened cause i skipped all the text while watching youtube

IIRC it's at the island with the broken machine that made the Fatui crazy.

Decided to go for Kazuha's C4 since I already had C3 and at worst I would lose a 50/50 and have a guarantee for Kusanali, but lo and behold I got C4 in 30 pulls.

C6 doesn't seem worth it though.

On the island with the broken machine, I noticed that several times when I tried to sail away, Paimon mentions that something seems off about it. But I've explored 100% of the island and there's nothing left to do. So who knows if there's a mission coming up there?

This n00b managed adventure rank 12 so I can finally do daily commissions and not get stuck hunting for chests/activating teleports.

Well after the part where Kusanali's voice talks to you on the beach for the last time, it says "to be continued..." so there might be one last little thing coming towards the end of the patch to wrap things up.
