Basic empathy could help you make peace with other people's boundaries.

Look, there's understanding that some people don't want to be touched. I get that, I don't exactly want to be touching people all the time.

But there's also people who you can be ocnversating with but if you're within like 3 feet of them (Covid concerns or non), they get antsy that you're so close, even if you're not all that close

Basic empathy could help you make peace with other people's boundaries.

People like him don't get it, that if you are okay with something, some weird sense of entitlement that other people have to be okay with it too. If me saying trumpet really bothers someone, I just won't say it, it's not some dumb competition with who is allowed to get away with what.

We've transitioned into this weird societal phase where nobody can be tread on. Where everybody's minor whim, minor feeling must be treated with the utmost of importance and respect as if you're approaching a King or Queen. You want to talk entitlement? That's fucking entitlement. Expecting every goddamned body you interact with to bend over to your every whim or discomfort in an effort to not offend or discomfort you.
