It's probably weird to make a topic about getting a single Shiny but this is actually only the second non-event, non-scripted (ie Lake of Rage Gyarados) Shiny that I've caught in my life so I'm making the topic. The first I caught was a Maractus which I Shiny Hunted in a Friend Safari a few years back. Tonight I decided to do a Shiny Hunt after being on a Pokemon kick lately, both playing and learning stuff on YouTube and chose Qwilfish via Chain Fishing (which I had just learned about) and after about 30 minutes or so I found one and ultimately caught it. :)

Incidentally, I've encountered one other non-event, non-scripted Shiny in all my time playing Pokemon. It was way back as a kid (maybe a teen by that point). In Pokemon Gold, I found a Shiny Venonat in the Bug Catching Contest. However, my sole Pokemon was already pretty worn out and it knocked me out. Not that I could have brought it into future games anyway, but as a kid that was EXTREMELY frustrating.
