He seeks help from Wakanda, who turns him down - T'Challa passes away due to illness - Namor wants to kill Riri for creating the device used in the ocean, but Wakanda vows to protect her - Riri's first suit is made out of car parts, but she goes to Wakanda and uses vibranium for a new suit - War between Wakanda and Atlantis breaks out. Shuri's mom dies and parts of Wakanda get flooded. - Shuri creates an artificial herb to gain the powers of Black Panther. She goes to the ancestral plane expecting T'Challa but instead sees Killmonger, who helps her become the new Black Panther. Well, I also just had another thought too. The ancestral plane for anybody who takes the herb seemingly functions as a way to help transition and prepare the new Black Panther. So that person simply ends up meeting whoever is best suited to help them. For T'Challa, that would clearly be his dad. For Killmonger, it would clearly be his dad. It should have been T'Challa in Shuri's case, but they obviously can't do that. But I'm wondering if Shuri ends up going down a similar path as Killmonger as the story progresses and the reason she meets Killmonger instead of her mom, dad or anyone else is because he ends up being the person who can give her the best advice in that moment. It'd also be a post-death redemption moment for him.
