I was in the trenches since day 1 of the pandemic. I encountered hundreds of covid patients, some intubated, some on bipap, some on just nasal oxygen huffing and puffing in my face while I just had either a respirator or N95 on a thick beard, +/- faceshield, and sometimes just a regular mask, and never got covid. Gotten 3 shots so far and always wear a mask in public.

Only thing I have is a sore throat and feel just a bit warm, I wouldn't even call it a fever.

I got it from a family event, of all things where we weren't wearing masks.

Be well, man. And hopefully you don't get any nasty side effects afterward, but I'd get that checked out after you recover...just to be safe.

i think i got the B.A 2, my covid symptoms are mild on day 2.

cough. night sweat and trouble sleeping.

wish they roll out the next batch of shots. all the old shots are getting evaded by the new variants.

Yea just hoping I dont have any bad long-lasting effects. Its possible to get those even with an asymptomatic infection and I've seen that.

I always shit on people who use n=1 as evidence for anything but I'm a perfect example of masks working. Masks protected me through the absolute worst times with heavy exposures, through all the variants. I take my mask off around a family gathering and I get it. Although in our family we're actually careful. If someone has symptoms they isolate and don't come to family events. In this case peoples symptoms started during the family events, so someone must have had it with minimal to no symptoms and not realized it.

I just got past the isolation period. The first couple days aren't an indication of what's to come. It was worst the first day. But the lost of taste of stuff took a few days. I hope it comes back. Cause it really sucks

Im currently trying to turn brain fog into a positive.

At first the thought of my brain chemistry changing was horrifying. But, then I realized certain anxieties I had were also changing. So, now Im thinking, maybe I can rebuild myself into someone more productive through this. Example: I haven't learned to use my air fryer since I was already in the habit of using the stovetop. But, yesterday I suddenly got the urge to. And Im talking I been avoiding this for years every single day.

However, I might just be on a life high from being over the part where I have to stay away from everyone I love. I was fuckin losing my mind a week in.

i'm definitely wanting the good ending. just avoid people in general if possible. the covid infection isn't something enjoyable (dreading if it'll get worse). still a few days from day 7-14 that's when things can go bad.

not coughing as much but still have runny nose and sneezing at times.

also to note: if B.5 "centarius" is spreading in chicago by that time. not very hopeful about saving yourself from getting sick.

I havent tested positive yet but think I got it too for the first time. Vaxed and boosted and everything but got back from a work trip on Tuesday that was conferences and meetings and am feeling like shit today and its only getting worse.

Home test was negative this morning and I just kind of felt like I was getting sick and my throat hurt. Since then I have more of a cough and now a fever. Getting a better test at 10:30 tomorrow.

probably tested on the wrong day it typically doesn't show until a day or two of symptoms beginning.
if it does test positive tomorrow hopefully your covid illness is mild as mine was.

Hope you can flip the ending like I did. I still have symptoms, but Im overall way more happy than I was before getting Covid. It literally healed a bunch of my social anxiety somehow. Im trying to figure out why Im enjoying life so much more all of a sudden.

I was at the doctor's office for a different injury the other day and was just letting everyone cut me bcause I was content just sitting there doing nothing lol. The lady was like "Actually, we really need to get you registered" after I told another person they could go ahead lol.

I can't explain my mood, it's weird.

Thankfully I got over it in a few days but boy was the headache brutal. Something about this variant makes it a lot more likely to infect the people who have resisted all the other ones up to now, like me and you.

Not like anyone actually gives a shit about healthcare workers.

Im also part of that club that avoided it until now. I know exactly where I put my guard down and fucked up >_<. Luckily I didn't have to complicate anyone else's life tho. I immediately just waited it out alone at my house. Almost lost my mind from being alone and having brain fog, but I came back mentally stronger so far.

I'm just praying I don't have any long lasting effects and my stamina recovers. The silver lining to all this is that I'll be less paranoid about getting it and passing it to my kids now that I've gotten the latest variant. I have a bad habit of touching my face and scratching my nose alot. But I have a good habit of using hand sanitizer every chance I get, even if I don't need it.

Also had it recently
I got to around 70% really quickly but the journey back to 100% has been much slower. Probably at like 90% now but it's been like 3 weeks

I took my pcr test at 10:30 Friday morning and still dont have results because the lab is closed on the weekendwould have been nice to know. Lost my sense of smell today so Im pretty sure that puts the nail in it anyway.

Im a pretty healthy person, in good shape and eat well, vaxed and boosted but this has kicked my ass. Still cant really get out of bed. Tired, headache, chills and cough. Fever comes and goes but I havent had it in at least 12 hours or so. Looking it up, I have mild symptoms. I feel bad for people that got it really bad. Hoping I get through the night without the fever coming back.
