I finally was able to sell my crypto.

I only sold enough equal to my initial investment, so anything remaining is pure profit and I know it's not good to sell while down - I just wanted to Proof of Concept get rid of the stuff...

can someone walk me through how to buy/sell a stonks? I wanna buy one, wait 3 days or whatever, and then sell it (gain/loss doesn't matter) as a proof of concept.

I just created an account through TD Ameritrade. I think in the US you have to have something like $25K available to do immediate day trading, but regular trading is still possible.

I screwed around with penny stocks for fun until I made my money back, then lost everything. My roommate on the other hand really got into it and eventually made enough to have a day trading account.

Vanguard is a good overall solid stock broker.
I would recommend the VTSAX, it's every single stock on the market in one giant pile, so you're investing in the entire market rather than individual stocks.

so... Ameritrade, Vanguard... and I presume Robin hood, ya?

I have heard people complain about Robin Hood on reddit, I don't know entirely what's going on, but it's enough to make me want to not touch it.
