How's Tennessee and Mississippi comin along with that @MabusIncarnate @Smackems ?

So I live in a city where you can go in 4 directions out obviously but each way has a border checkpoint. If I go east, north, or west I can get busted because it's still federally illegal. South obviously because I'd have to go through El Paso and there's a checkpoint on the east side way out of the city where Willy Nelson and Snoop got wrecked by em. Makes no sense in my mind but this government is fucked.

Probably one of the last 6 states to legalize it.

Thankfully, its very easily accessible and cheap here. My boss owns businesses in Chicago and gets vapes for him and me there, and lots of farmers around here grow and sell. Police here care about meth, legit don't seem to care at all about green.

There's a bunch of dry towns around here, regardless of the county, and there is a dry county a couple over from mine also. Sunday sales were illegal when I moved here but it changed about 5 years back or so. Some of these little towns have legit 10 businesses, 10 churches and housing.

I'll just never understand this. Here you can by alcohol anywhere from I think it's 6 or 7am - Midnight. That seems pretty godamn reasonable to me. We can also by full blown liquor bottles in a gas station right off the interstate, which... ehh may be a bad idea but it's happening damnit. Why not though, Get a fifth of Jack or 30 beers? Gonna all get you into a telephone pole either way.

I think sunday booze finally happened in Misery back in 2005.

Oh yeah don't get me started on dry Sundays. Doesn't happen here, but what in the fuck man? Ohhh yeah you can't get booze on Sunday but you can go to church and drink wine. FUCK THAT. FUCK THOSE PEOPLE. OH that burns me up.

I remember one Christmas night I had to drive down to Texas with a friend to get booze. After that fateful night, I always planned way ahead and had more than I could ever drink through the holidays.

When we were taking care of the wife's grandparents, the place in town was a half gas station and half liquor store. Technically a gas station can't sell liquor, so there was a literal pegboard divider separating the stores and you had to go out one door and in another. Same cashier on both sides though lol.

Her grandma is still alive and in Ohio now with her other son, she broke her hip and had replacement surgery and is somehow recovering and kicking, think she's 89 now.

I remember there was a liquor store near me and they finally got rid of the drive thru liquor shit, so they had extra space and split the building up. They turned one half of it into a hamburger joint, so sometimes on Fridays I could get booze and dinner all in one spot. It worked out so well, all the bases were covered. They need more places like that.

You have to have a liquor license everywhere you intend to be, and everywhere you could be (which is essentially everywhere).

I worked this out twenty years ago, and the absurd logistics and legal costs aren't worth it - especially when I'm drinking about half the stock anyway.

I hate cutoff times on booze and I don't even try to buy late. But I've known too many people half drunk decide oh shit I need more beer and it's 5 minutes before they stop selling. So on top of being drunk they are now speeding to the store.
