Kloe_Rinz posted... Plug one into your computer and then plug your other one into your computer isn't it better to plug both into your graphics card if it supports it? i'm looking into buying a 2nd monitor myself. eventually i want 3 but that would crowd my desk too much for that. probably look into a desk mount eventually but 3rd monitor would legit just be my old HD monitor to watch netflix or youtube on while i do other stuff if i need my other 2 screens. ... Yeah I might have oversimplified it plug both into your GPU if you can the monitor is probably set to auto detect input but you might need to change the source like you would on a tv windows will usually default to mirroring the monitor I believe so you need to change the extra monitor to extend mode in display settings ... Most graphics cards these days come with a bunch of different ports on the back. Mine came with a USB-C(or it might be thunderbolt4 port, I can't really tell with my lighting), a couple HDMI ports and a couple Display Ports. Check your monitors for what ports they have on the back and go from there. Make sure you plug the cables into the graphics card and not the motherboard. Lest you might run into issues while you game. After you have both plugged in, right click your desktop and select display settings. On that screen you'll be given the option to detect monitors, click on that if your computer hasn't already detected both of them. You also have the option to check what resolution each is running in. If your right monitor is being registered as your left monitor, its as simple as clicking on the monitor in display settings and dragging it to the other side of your other monitor and it automatically fixes itself. Your also going to want to make sure all your drivers are updated and your refresh rate is set correctly. To do those its super easy. Device Manager > Monitors to update drivers Display Settings > Advanced Display Settings at the bottom to change your refresh rate ... Copied to Clipboard!
