That's how bad the marketing failed. Even watching the movie, I was wondering who the movie was for. I enjoyed it, but it really takes its time getting off the ground and it doesn't even go suborbital once it's off the ground. It has humor but some of it doesn't land and/or tries too hard and the humor that is there doesn't seem like it'd lend too well to a child audience. It's a purely maybe 6.5/10 movie for all audiences. It isn't going to wow kids and leave them giggling out of the theater and the adults in the audience are going to range from "well it looked good" to indifference or even outright offended because "not muh lightyear" Maybe it'll do better on streaming but as it stands, I'm not even sure Pixar knew what they wanted out of this film --- The name is wackyteen for a reason.
