Well no, but I think in Xenoverse 2 they let his energy absorb move eat a lot of attacks it has no business handling that casually if you wanna give him a small victory there.

They actually never were. Even back in Dragon Ball all they did was strength training, and when Krillin asked Master Roshi "Aren't you going to teach us any arts or techniques?" Master Roshi tells him "Just let your instincts kick in with your newfound strength"

In terms of raw abilitys he's definitely up there to be honest. On top of infinite stamina and energy drain on contact he has a barrier to ward off anything that could get around it even.

If not for 18s interference they would have been screwed.

Pretty sure Jiren and probably hit are strong enough.

However since super 17 has infinite youth and stamina, what would happen if he used the dragon balls to make himself Strongest in the universe like the others or whatever? What price would he pay if any?

I'm sure if he where around in super they'd make out like a big attack from say a God of destruction would be too much energy for him to handle. Beerus iirc too will go hands on and I'm sure him and others at his level would be too fast and too strong for super 17

Cause those two already knew martial arts, Roshi just didn't teach them anything new. Goku grew up with Gohan (Roshi's peer) and they did nothing but train martial arts until he finally died. Krillin was already a master in his own right before he arrived at Kami House to train with Roshi. The dots on his head are burn scars from incense only given to shaolin monks that are supposed to denote mastery, and Krillin was the best in his school and he approached Roshi for further training.
