Fucking love it. such a great moment the constant switching between that scene and the main three adult party members fighting Vecna while Kate Bush builds up in the background might be my favorite scene in the entire series the latter almost felt like watching a turn based fight lol Steve uses fireball! Robin uses fireball! Nancy uses shoot! Its super effective! It was cool seeing that it was actually Vecna/Henry/One behind everything the entire time. I figured he went into the UD and was further corrupted/empowered by the Mind Flayer. The best part was definitely ~~Hopper fighting the demogorgon with a fucking sword.~~ I think that the whole Eleven saving Max part needed to happen. Yes, it took away the impact of her death. But if she stayed dead, the 4th gate would have stayed open and Hawkins would be a lot more fucked. We wouldn't have gotten any of those scenes at the end because the town would have already combined with the Upside Down. Oh and I'm surprised that Steve didn't die. They were throwing up death flags like crazy for him. Massive character growth and confessing that he's still in love with Nancy, despite her still being with Jonathan. I thought for sure they were going to kill him before he and Nancy got any closure. I'm also expecting him to have a much bigger role in season 5 since he has that connection with Vecna (not to mention if Vecna is still targeting people that experienced heavy trauma next season, Will is like an all you can eat buffet for it). And he deserves one since he's just been kind of there in 3 + 4. Maybe they somehow get her mind back from Vecna, but if that happens I dont see it happening til the finale. Well at most get a very small scene of her opening her eyes in the hospital and looking over at Lucas passed out on a couch after reading another story to her and saying Lucas? waking him up. But even that sounds a little too cliche happy ending that I dont think theyd do it. But were not gonna be getting a bunch of other Max scenes.
