Hope they stick the landing with season 5 -- it has potential to be one of the greatest seasons of television if they do. As for the finale, it was pretty much what I expected to happen, and I mean that in a good way. Vecna talked to much, has to explain fucking everything. And all of El's subplot bored the fuck out of me. El isn't a good written character. She was cute in season 1 but all she's done since then is cry, yell and make stupid faces, I don't think Millie is a great actress. And her written as deus ex machina every season ending is so lazy. Like she did absolutely nothing this whole season to help but she's the superhero at the end again But it did have the most metal ever moment so that rocked. Smashingpmkns 07/02/22 12:00:47 PM #27:	Finished it last night. I really don't think they warranted a combined 4 hour runtime. Both eps were filled with so much unnecessary fluff. Overall this season was good. Probably second best to the first. Though the only interesting storyline was the kids in Hawkins. The Russia storyline, El's storyline, and the west coast kids storyline were all pretty bad tbh. Eleven in particular has been such a frustrating character to watch. We see all these flashbacks in the last ep of when she was a likeable character with a lot more personality. The whole time I was just thinking "damn what happened to that Eleven?" Also Vecna's dialogue was terrible throughout the season and he looks like the Grinch.
