I am seeing it all over Twitter and social media (I know, I know) - but just so I have the mindset correct here...the illegitimate SCOTUS overturns Roe v. Wade, and people are saying it is Biden's fault and Biden needs to do something and Biden is useless?

Good lord, people cannot even be angry at the PROPER PEOPLE anymore. Holy crap.

When the villain is winning, the hero is expected to do something. You can wish the villain was a good person, but that isn't really a solution.

The Republicans are the shooter
The Democrats are the police standing in the hallway fiddling their thumbs

Can be mad at both

Yell at the conservative movement or Supreme Court all you want - it'll only make their opinions worse. Ostensibly, the Democratic Party, which holds the executive and legislative branches, is more receptive to the public interest.

Don't forget to blame Obama too, for breaking his promise to codify Roe during his presidency

The way I see it there are really 2 choices:

1) Be extremely mad at Biden for some-odd reason, and do not vote (allows the GOP to win, and by extension do even more things that are awful)

2) Realize that it's not Biden's fault, but the GOP SCOTUS, and go vote (allows some hope for the future)

Which will you choose?

The Democrats may control Congress , but they dont have enough votes in The Senate to push a bill through without any Republican support. Stop saying Biden could do something, he cant.

The Supreme Court isn't up for election in November - Democrats are. There's a word for a system where people owe responsibilities to the government but not the other way around, and it's not democracy.

It's pretty much the standard to blame the president for everything that goes wrong and give credit for everything the president gets right to anyone else.

You know that's a silly description of the current state of things.

The average American knows nothing about the government except that there's the house, the senate, the president, and state legislatures with a governor for each state. Oh, and the two main political parties.

That's about it. Most couldn't tell you if the house is in session at the moment or if they're on recess, for that matter.

You can blame both SCOTUS for doing a shitty thing and POTUS for a lack of action. Especially when he went on the record multiple times to say hed get Roe vs Wade passed into law, and then things go the exact opposite direction.

to the SCOTUS problem. i blame moscow mitch. if he just gave obama his nomination i'm doubtful it would've been even more one sided. plus if manwich and colins knew that the Supreme court would do this. i'm sure they would vote differently in confirming gorsuch, kavanaugh and baret.

Gotta say, All this "well X is worse" in the wake of losing Roe v. Wade seems really fucking pointless. The house has been lit on fire and the flames are spreading. Arguing about how the arsonist is at fault or how there are worse things than a house fire fixes nothing.

Al Franken was a former Comedian and had the charisma and the intelligence to be a legitimate Presidential candidate, and a damn good one too. It's a true shame a fucking photo ruined his career.

Your posts read like one of those Twitter accounts that have 100 followers and post "BREAKING" about everything that happens everyday, thinking people care about what you have to say.

There is a world of difference between holding a sub-replacement-level governor accountable for sexual harassment and working to preserve the popular legitimacy of an institution opposing you.

If you can't recognize that these situations are in no way comparable, I cannot help you.

Garland pretty much proved how much of a partisan hack he would have been just from his tenure as Attorney General. A guy like him has no business in the judicial branch, let alone in the Supreme Court.
