I've been finishing the platinum on Gravity Rush 2 and I really like this. KCD had elements of it, but is there any game, even if it's a sim where we can make poor people that are suffering better off?

I wish there was a game where you could go earn loot and go around a city improving everything for people. Only, it kept going more and more. I don't think they make this type of game, but it would be fun.

Ideally they could implement this best in a game like Minecraft for me personally, but the villager AI and scope just isn't robust enough to be satisfying. I want to go mine and give them all riches so they can build great cities and have lots of babies.

Maybe like a pet simulator but for a whole civilization. Only I don't want it to stop upgrading. I want it go be able to get better and better even if it takes a long time. I wish they had an mmo like this where we earn money to raise a village of npcs. Fallout 4 was kinda like that with settlements.

Anyway, I'm rambling. I'm just throwing stuff out there to maybe jar your memory. I used to have dreams as a kid where I'd go into hospitals and touch sick people and make them better. Then I'd have dreams where I could walk around town and fix all the cracks and disrepair in things. Making the landscape perfect and everything. Kinda like a paradise OCD thing. Ok I'll stop now before it gets too weird.

Don't know any games like that, but the Robinhood App helped steal from the poor to prevent the rich from losing money. Then they laid off a bunch of their employees!

To be fair, the original Robin Hood stories just had them stealing from the rich to spend on themselves, which makes it like pretty much every game where you kill people and take their stuff.

The whole giving to the poor part didn't come in until later.

Yeah I got that one. I kinda stalled after getting to 80% done. I was doing all the sidequests and burned out. I beat Thief 1 2 and 3 long time ago.

I can think of a game that does almost the opposite, one of the fable games had the ability to become a landlord and charge exorbitant rents that you use to fund the military industrial complex.

It would be cool to be apart of some fiefdom like in KCD and reverse pickpocket a bunch of gold pieces into the townspeople pockets and see what happens. Of course they'd have to program it to matter.

I love upgrading and outfitting npcs that are a living part of an environment. That's why it would be fun to be a trillionaire and just walk around helping people out randomly.

Ehh. Most of the time all it funds is your ability to pay for more houses. And in Fable III, it keeps you from having to drain a pweety lake or throw orphans out on the street and turn their orphanage into a factory.

Even when it does lead to "military" spending, it's really just one dude buying more and more exotic weapons and armor, so it's less military industrial complex and more like most creepy otakus and D&D nerds buying mail-order katanas.
