Yeah...for all the problems with Buu as a villain, the story itself was still really cool for the characters involved. I just think Buu was a lousy antagonist to go out on, especially after Frieza and Cell were so defined and had strong personalities. --- I write Naruto Fanfiction. He had potential but Toriyama didnt really capitalize on it. Toguro did what Perfect Cell did better with Yusuke. All of his actions post-perfection are in pursuit of this. I feel like it's a crucial aspect of his character that he's part Saiyan--if he were just a "generic bad guy" he wouldn't be so adamant about getting Gohan to show his true power. Cell's motive wasn't just to be the strongest, it was to prove he's the strongest, going to Vegeta-esque lengths to do so.
