I saw the thread that went down. He was cheering todays court decision. I mean, I could see how that could be labeled as trolling. But lets face it, guys. Something like 30 to 49% of the country is cheering on todays court decision. We cant ban 40% of the country off Gamefaqs. He just got suspended for cheering on the Supreme Court decision. I personally think thats a dumb fuck point of view, but I hope he doesnt get banned over it. That would mean were purging users based on political ideologies.

It had to have been more than just 'cheering', no way the site staff would be so petty to suspend someone for difference of political opinion.

I mean, yeah, unfortunately it is. And somewhere just under half the country disagrees with how you and I define human rights. I mean, I think basic healthcare for everyone should be a basic human right. But Im not going to advocate banning everyone on gamefaqs who doesnt share that belief.

Just because lots of people in one country are scum filled monsters, doesn't mean we have to smile and nod and treat them as anything other than what they are.

It was just him cheering. I think he said something like it was about time it was struck down or something. It was a fairly short post with him being very pro Supreme Court.

I could see how you could say it was him fishing for negative responses. I mean, it was pretty borderline. Its not something Id expect to see overturned simply because it could be viewed as trolling, even if it wasnt. But there was certainly nothing ban worthy in it like Duran is suggesting.

Sounds like a case where he got modded for having an unpopular opinion. The mod Mental_Daxter did once confirm that he has seen unpopular opinions get deleted.

The man was just banned, anything controversial from him is going to get modded and and potentially banned again.

I might agree with that, but 40% of the country is going to accuse you of having a moral failing for wanting to terminate pregnancies. If we start banning accounts over this argument then its going to be a bloodbath.

And what if Zikten is right? What if 5 years from now Allen has to start banning pro-choice people because thats the popular view? Then its you and me on the chopping block. You dont want to go down this road where were purging people over this argument.

First off, shut the fuck up.

Second, don't pretend you and I are in agreement. Don't pretend you don't approve of this. Not when you've expressed anti-trans beliefs in the past. You aren't going to suddenly care about women.

RedRanger's gimmick is maintaining arguments for the sake of maintaining arguments. There is very little gravitas to what he says.
