He was trying tonreasin with her. He had no idea what she was about or how crazy she was. He wanted to do things peacefully. It was a warning; it backfired horribly though.

She killed the entire Illuminati in 5 minutes. Including Captain Marvel. That tells you how badass SW is.

I wish they could have given Black Bolt more time. The guy's power is pretty insane. He literally powers a spaceship by shouting into the engine.

Ultimately Mordo is the member of the Illuminati who dropped the ball the hardest. The rest don't take Wanda as seriously as they should, but I think they were thinking of their Wanda, who wasn't juiced up like MCU Wanda, and going "Ok yeah we can handle her"

Mordo, on the other hand, knows the legends and prophecies of the Scarlet Witch and should have taken it seriously and impressed upon them how dangerous she likely had become. Instead he had to be a dick because he doesn't like Strange and wanted to prove him wrong.

What annoyed me the most about some of the fight scenes was that she wasn't as OP as she should have been. One minute she's pulling some freaky Matrix-style flesh manipulation, and then for the next five minutes she's just tossing around the usual red magic balls. Wasn't quite as bad in this regard as the WandaVision finale, but still irritating enough to be noticeable (or maybe my disappointment with the WandaVision finale had too much of an influence on my opinion of this movie *shrugs*).

I may be remembering incorrectly but wasn't it because she made her children from shards of Mephistos soul and when he took them back she went insane?

Ultimately, MCU fans need a little more connectivity for the magic to happen. A line as simple as "There have been mysterious waves tearing the multiverse apart on multiple fronts. Not just Wanda. Wong has been busy trying to locate the destination of a signal being sent from one of Earth's magical artifacts out into space, which was recently activated from a parallel dimension in China, and recently what appears to be a giant hand surfaced out of the ocean."

and that would have at least given the audience the impression that they're going somewhere with all these pieces.

Nick Fury did a lot of good just by showing up and saying "I'm assembling a team."

I just finished the movie. That was a weird experience.

That said, I really fucking loved watching Reed Richards get his smug condescending ass handed to him because he couldn't be bothered to listen to Strange.

But yeah, Strange is definitely here, but it really almost wasn't his movie. Which is really off putting.

Was the movie bad or was it just me? The pacing was terrible, the performances were mid, and the vfx was not up to par with other marvel films. Also I feel like Wanda going villain came out of nowhere.

Eh, you really had to watch Wandavision to understand.

But, yeah, I'm not ready to say it's a bad movie. It felt quite good, actually and definitely makes some fun choices.

But uh....

You could probably retitle it "The Scarlet Witch and Her Tantrum in the Multiverse."

One thing I found dumb was how they show Wanda flying around the whole damn movie, but then she gets injured fighting the Illuminati and all of a sudden she's walking and limping while chasing Strange and America...

Yeah and I swear I saw Wanda wearing shoes made to look like feet when she was supposed to be barefoot, I think right after demolishing the Illuminati

I don't get why she didn't wipe away Captain Carter and Captain Marvel just as easily.

My biggest question why didn't she just make her kids real instead of just a spell/illusion.
Seems like a lot of trouble for such a non issue when you consider what she can do.
Hell she could have made a copy of America pop out of nowhere and taken her powers.
Or I guess literally anything else?

Pretty sure that's because dreamwalking is taxing on her and she was having a hard time holding it together at that point.

Initially I had a problem with this too. I wrote it off as the writers throwing Hayley Atwell and Lashana Lynch a bone, since this is probably their last appearances in the MCU (especially considering the latter's main-universe character *WandaVision spoilers* died an offscreen death, arguably the lamest way to go out). John Krasinski will probably return to play Mr. Fantastic for realsies at a later date, and Greybeard Forkhead was lucky enough to appear in a feature film in the first place, lol.

Well, it's a different Wanda being possessed by SW. I forgot if they showed this different Wanda actually flying around, but if not, that may be the reason.

I hate SW. I made a topic complaining about her and how they still make me try to care about her. I am like no Witch you are horrible person.

Also she is just so OP. So many magic users can just seemingly do whatever. Oddly for movie strange they don't make him to over powerful with.

But SW just can do what ever the plot needs her to do at any given time. In comics and in the movie. Just hate that . There is nothing to define her powers.

But what does this mean for the X-Men, though? Have any of the movies or shows made reference?

My prediction is they are going to somehow successfully merge 838 and 616 universes. Because the X-Men clearly do not exist in the 616 universe. Or have I missed something? I just want to see 90s style X-Men on film before I die. When Professor X came on screen I got chills.
