Bobobo is a gag character whose power is based on how funny he is (though as the author is pretty unfunny you have to take this with a grain of salt). As long as it is perceived as funny he can do it, and the best way to think about the comparison is that Franklin Richards and Haruhi both explicitly do not have protection from having their background being rewritten yet that is something that Bobobo can actively do (heck, he can do it even if they did because shonen protag) and thus by default as long as there is a single joke that exists as to how he rewrites their background they cannot possibly win. Like, do not confuse this situation: Bobobo is the strongest character, that aspect is not a question of debate. The contention comes from the exact same rationale as to whether or not Popeye would count in this sort of comparison: do characters who have infinite everything because they are gag characters get to be compared against characters who have actual limits of some kind due to them not being done as a joke? --- "A shouted order to do something of dubious morality with an unpredictable outcome?
