They should, or atleast change the monthly sub charge to like 2.99 a month

I was on Asura for the longest time, i stopped playing in 2010, I couldn't devote time to FFXI anymore

I would say they'd sooner let XI die, but it would look, if rumors or hearsay are anything to go off of, that's exactly what SE is doing to the game. :-/

tbh they should merge 14's sub with 11's, or maybe offer a combo option for less than the current combined price. i'd sub a LOT more often

11's way too successful to charge just $3 a month for, but i think you could make a case for adding $4-5 onto an XIV sub for a combined package, considering they have rotating monthly login things in 11

scroll down to basic rotation (Raiden Thrust is synonymous with True Thrust (your combo starter) as long as you don't mess up the rotation). it's also easier as a lower level; one button is added about every 10 levels or so to ease you into it

rotations in XIV generally involve you getting used to a 20~ button pull rotation and then keeping everything on cooldown/all DoTs ticking from then on. dragoon has always had one of the "longest" rotations (if you judge a rotation's complexity by how many buttons it takes to loop around to the beginning), but it's always been relatively simple if you compartmentalize combos together. your basic 1-2-3 combo requires an extra two buttons every time, and there's also a second 1-2-3 combo, but it all flows together in a pretty easy to understand way. you'd have to slap a training dummy for a couple minutes with a good keyboard setup to see how, though

this is optimal, so you don't have to use tinctures in casual content, you don't actually have to double weave if your internet can't handle it for some reason, etc. dragon sight and battle litany want to go out relatively soon in the pull but not immediately, but the jumps go where they fit. i think they recently made jumps a lot easier to use by locking you into animations less

I played it at launch. Remember Square's PlayOnline loader? I liked how heavenly and serene it was. Seems like 100 years ago.

I was one of the first ones in the game on our side. Literally had nothing but Japanese players. I remember they had a live feed streamed on the main site and I could never get in the picture.

I played a Hume Monk and a Red Mage Mithra to start. I switched to EQ2 when it came out to go back with my old friends.

I eventually gave up mmos. I only like soloing now anyway. I never have the time to coordinate anymore and winning gear just isn't worth it to me anymore. I literally had the best of the best Monk gear and augments in 2006 on EQ1 on the Firiona Vie server. I quit to go back to university after that.

it's absolutely atrocious as a way to launch the game, it still advertises Seekers of Adoulin like it's new. saved only by Dance of the Fairies being good music

I remember The Last Samurai had come put right after our launch and everyone wanted to be some kinda samurai.

Goddamn that was so long ago. I literally gave the extra copy of the game to my girlfriend at the time and we broke up when I moved to SC not long after. I always wondered if she kept playing. She sucked at EverQuest so I doubt it.

Yeah I loved that game I played on Bismarck. I think the soundtrack was great too. Yes, some of those songs are regularly being played in my head too. What was that area right outside san d'oria?
