They used to take pride in making middle of the road porridge games but they can't even do that anymore. Valhalla and Farcry 6 are barely games. Just big boxes of menus and systems. Absolutely not going to bother with Ragnarok and it's not because I didn't enjoy the game. I'm just ready for the shit to be over halfway through every time now for Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla. Prior to that the games were perfect length games, like 25 hours with 10-12 worth of side stuff. Then like 20 of unnecsary "Collect these things just because" but those were always trash. But these new ones have no business averaging 50-60 hours each for a normal playthrough, they do not need to be as long as they are and I just don't have it in me to do more. Keep their big open fantasy RPG and then make another one like the originals that actually focuses on stealth and parkour.They should split Farcry as well. But I don't have faith in them to get any of that right. It would be so awesome if they did that... I thought it was the modern day plot that really had me hanging on (and that was certainly part of it, as well as what got me into it in the first place) but Parkour and Stealth are just as important, if not more so.
