Although there have been some theories floating around that Sidius wanted Anakin to be put into that situation to fully away him, so he went easy on Mace. I think that might have been the plan, but he legitimately might have also been surprised by how strong Windu was, and canonically speaking...Mace would have been a proper fit to be able to defeat any Uber strong dark side user as he is able to directly reflect the anger back more or less. --- Ask me if I would eat da booty. <cite>Letron_James posted [p:965796553] in Did they d... It's important to remember that up until Anakin cuts off Windu's hand, he remains fully team Jedi. Palpatine tells him he is the Sith Lord and Anakin immediately reports him. He turns Palpatine in because if Palpatine is in custody, his knowledge is still available for Anakin to try to acquire while remaining with the Jedi. But if Palpatine is about to die, Anakin has literally no choice but to save his life. --- Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father.
