As long as you've got a good piece of meat/veggie/whatever there's not a lot too it. It's the first kind of cooking I really mastered.

I'm not a huge fan of grilling, since I learned years ago that the char you get on grilled food is technically a carcinogen.

I also hate nature in general, so if I'm cooking I prefer to do it inside for the most part.

I am great at cooking things how I like it when it comes to beef, however everyone is getting the burgers, steaks, and things like that cooked the same way since I never have experiance cooking them to other temps.

Fish and veggies I am pretty good at. Not near as often but I never had anyone give me complaints or tips so I guess I am good there.

However smoking? I suck hardcore

I'm not a huge fan of grilling meats. Usually the combo of pan fry for crispness & oven for moisture retention is the killer combo for making great meats. A cast iron pan is great for this since you can throw it right in the oven after frying for a bit.

Grilling is more for the smoky flavor. You can get the results mentioned on the grill as well.
