I am not diabetic but I do periodically(every 3 or 4 years) check my blood sugar levels. I dont have hypertension either and I do the same with checking my blood pressure. Once everything is seen to be fine after 4-5 weeks of checking, I completely forget about it for a few years.

Anyway, I had the same meal two nights in a row. Last night my 1hr and 2hr lost meal numbers were within 70 and 100. I believe 85 or 87. Now, tonight they were 66 one hour after, so I rechecked and it said 76. Then it was 110 2 hrs after my meal. Even 4hrs after the meal it was 103. Couldnt figure out why.

The difference? I have been sipping on green tea tonight. I thought green tea was good for you. But could it had spiked my glucose if Im continuously sipping on it through the hours?

If you brewed it yourself, then no, it shouldn't.

If you bought it from the store, they often add sugars or sugar substitutes etc, but then it woulda said on the bottle.

By itself it shouldn't do anything except maybe boost your blood pressure a bit (believe it does have caffein in it).

The store brands like Arizona specifically warn against it due to honey content.

https://drinkarizona.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/1500002077381-Why-is-there-a-diabetic-warning-on-my-AriZona-Diet-Green-Tea-

Even a small amount of honey combined with caffeine is bad. Any glucose and especially with caffeine causes sugar spikes and fat storage.

One of the best ways to reduce your sugars and get your body using them right is proper chemical hydration via saturation strip pee tests and 20+ minute moderate to high resistance cardio on like an elliptical or stairmaster.

...are you producing too much insulin

that's extremely low after eating

like that's extremely low for even fasting

anyways, your bg going up like that isn't really strange, but i can't definitively say if it's strange if i don't know what you ate, because that is very important

i don't really understand why you're fixated on this though since you aren't diabetic, or even pre-diabetic by the looks of it

I initially worried, too. But then it was 76 a min later.

Normally, Id attribute the fixation, as you call it, on me being a hypochondriac. But this time I think its more about the fact that Im an American(not the best diet) and aging. So I like to be prepared and try and prevent stuff.
