A while back I made a topic on CE saying I was moving to NYC.

Sadly, this was a ruse to smoke out someone in my real life who I suspect has been stalking my gamefaqs account. There was someone who knew...disturbing levels of details about things that I had not spoken to IRL people about before. The timing of it all was far too close to topics talking anonymously about these things.

It worked, too.

That said I am sorry to the folk who sent me heartfelt suggestions of places to go in the city. When I visit I will still use those recommendations.

TL;DR - had an internet stalker, figured out who they are. Feels bad man.

A fuckbuddy/friend who I guess was no longer happy about the arrangement and wanted to know who else I was banging, but decided to deal with it in the most batshit way possible. It's very weird to have someone lurking your posts, and not even the first time this has happened to me.

I had to delete a reddit account once and a (very) small part of me was annoyed about this because I had like, 70 gildings, 10 or so frontpage posts and a buttload of karma on that account.

I visited back in like 1999 and again in like 2004. I have no need to ever go back. Also, Im Asian, and I wouldnt want to visit for that reason alone given the current climate.

P.s. I had actually asked some friends' advice and they said I should talk to her about it rather than do something ratty like try and smoke her out, but I felt it was the only way to actually get the truth out.

My original plan was to make up an even greater lie like say I made someone pregnant but they pointed out that would have been genuinely insensitive to all involved.

I have good friends.

I had a similar thing happen a while ago when I was still making OkCupid topics. I noticed there was an account I didnt recognize responding p much only to me

one day I noticed that a long-term ex, who I had broken up with like five years earlier, was a suggested friend on Snapchat and the username was the same as the account on gamefaqs

anyway I subtly let them know that I recognized and the account stopped being logged into

I literally know nothing about NYC but I'd like to be in the place where people are somewhat middle class but also not wanker bankers

Musicians, artists, restauranteurs, fringe festivals. That sort of place.

What happened was I made a rant topic on CE about how a friend paid like $1500 for a new iPhone, broke the backing and then had to pay another $600 to get it fixed. The topic was mainly about how stupidly greedy Apple is and how stupid people are for buying things they're not prepared to break, but I threw in a comment about how she was spoiled rich anyway for good measure. She was really upset about this damn phone, like crying about it for an entire day. So, that was my CE topic.

Then like...2 hours later, I see her instagram story is something really dramatic along the lines of "I just found out people are talking BEHIND MY BACK about what happened to my phone". When I asked her what it was about, she said she didn't want to talk about it. When I pressed a little more, she was really weird and vague about it, in a very out of character sort of way.

This was especially curious because never once before has she ever not wanted to talk about whatever is pissing her off, lol. It all felt far too convenient.

It was all very silly and high school, but I did need to know if someone from real life was reading my CE topics because man, sometimes I post genuinely sensitive stuff on here, you know?
