Seems like you would just get this for the minifigs.

As an aside, they once released a LEGO SW game based on the Clone Wars TV show. I kind of hope we get some LEGO games based on TCW/Rebels/BadBatch/Mando/Boba/Kenobi/etc. That would be pretty sweet.

Haven't played it, but i would assume there's atleast some Clone Wars stuff in the newest Skywalker Saga Lego game, right?

I need to play the Skywalker Saga game sometime.

Regarding getting the set for the minifigs, I assume that will be the main reason why people buy it yeah. But it will cost you 50 USD.

Lego is expensive but this is overpriced meh :/

I assume there are some side quests and stuff. But there are some cool arcs in TCW that would make for fun gameplay, like the second invasion of Geonosis, the battle of Umbara, and various things that happened with Mandalore and Darth Maul.

I mean its not really the Lego sets fault though. They literally just captured the complete uninspired set from the show itself.

Show is ass, just a complete lack of good decisions at the helm and zero passion from the writing team.

The laziness of the design isn't so much the issue as the price. Assuming that the minifigs would have a reasonable market price of $5 apiece, there's no more than ten, maybe fifteen bucks worth of bricks in that landscape.

There really isn't. It is a barebones game with actual levels being very small and most of your time spent in the open world.

It may not be a super thrilling set, but the additional pictures in the link at least show that it is more than just a blank grey platform for them to fight on.

They have. Mainly in Star Wars sets. To recreate duels like in this set

tbf the scene is literally just them in a small boring desert area at night time, not a whole lot you can really do with that, at least compared to other duel locations

As other people have mentioned, the price point is the main issue. Other duel sets have cost 20 USD. Now they for some reason decided to make this a 50 USD set. Lego have a couple standard price points when they release a series of sets and 50 USD is one of them. I dunno why they didnt make this the 30 dollar price point set instead though. 20 USD is already taken by the Kenobi and Vader brickheadz.

This is a toy for six year olds.

Yeah that's a pretty weak set design. Seeing a lot of the great ones released recently, this is pretty poor.

If I was going to get that set, it would be for that droid minifigure.

If they make another LEGO Star Wars game, I really freaking hope that they focus more on the actual story and levels, with some post-game free roam. Skywalker Saga leans way, way too heavily in the opposite direction (which I can understand since open world is the in thing right now) but the actual story and levels suffered because of it.

These are the types of sets that big custom builders love for the specific composition of bricks they come with, this is gonna sell so well. Everyone wants those angled bricks and them being gray so they can be used for custom spacecraft or castle architecture, this is gonna jump in price and hold.

Ngl, but much of a Lego game aficionado. I only played Lego Star Wars and a bit of Lego Indiana Jones because it came with my console or something. So I'll take your word for it.
