But seriously this game is a lot of fun. I bought this solely cuz I was still rockhard from Top Gun Maverick, and wanted to play the Maverick DLC in this game >_> I've always heard good things about this series and I can see why

I impulse bought this game when I heard about the top gun dlc. Then I let my friend borrow it since he liked the older ace combat games. Looking forward to playing it when he's done.

It's pretty good on a controller tho. It's not a flight sim; it's arcade-style. There is a flight stick option, but it's completely not necessary.

I don't know how the keyboard controls are.

I have it, you had to pre-order Ace Combat 7. It also came with the EU Collectors Edition but recent reports seem to show they stopped giving AC5 with it now. Sorry.

Yes bought the game twice, first on PS4 (the one I bought came with the Hotas Flightstick and when I saw that I was like fuck yeah drop whatever the preorder cost at Gamestop for it was)

My first Ace Combat was Fires of Liberation on the 360. It's a damn good game. Ace Combat 7 is very fun as well.

Jokes aside, I really should get back into this series again. I remember loving Shattered Skies when I got it along with my first PS2.

The stats on the Top Gun DLC jets are hilarious, the F-14 outperforms most of the top tier planes in the game and DarkStar is literally the fastest thing in the game

I bought it when it came out on PS4, along with a flight stick.

I regret getting the flight stick (it's nice but not worth it for one game).

Didn't finish it and want to double dip on PC but I'm waiting for a massive discount.

Wait they have a Fubuki skin? That's actually pretty hype. She's a precious cinnamon roll.

It's still crazy to me that a 3 year old game got a DLC that is bringing in tons of new fans. But welcome to the Ace Combat fandom TC lol. I have 7 on PS4, but I'm tempted to double dip on PC while it's super cheap.

Unfortunately, if you want more after this game, the older games aren't available on current platforms. But there is an indie game, called Project Wingman, that's clearly inspired by Ace Combat.

It's great. It's the best gameplay in the series so far. It's very arcadey, so you don't have to worry too much about the technical aspects of flying a plane, like you would in Microsoft Flight Simulator. You just feel like a badass, taking down targets in different fighter jets. You also have unrealistic amounts of ammo (I'm talking 100+ missiles on one plane), but it's more fun that way

i saw it on Steam for 11 bucks.

on one hand, i feel tempted to get it since it looks fun. on the other, im afraid it ends up being one of those games in my Steam collection which i barely touch and ends up collecting dust cause of that. lol >_>

This has happened for every ace combat game that has supported online dlc.

EDIT: And anyone asking themselves if they want to get the game, fucking buy it. It's an incredible game/series. Hell, just get it for the soundtrack if anything, the ace combat music is always top tier

Fair enough. I guess it stands out more to me this time around, because I'm seeing people talk about AC7 that weren't originally AC fans.

Edit: Oh and for anyone thinking of buying the game with the Top Gun DLC on Steam right now, DO NOT BUY THE BUNDLES. For whatever reason, the bundle prices are ignoring the discounted price of the base game. The game + the maverick DLC together should be discounted to $31.98, but instead it's $74.99. You'll save money by buying the game and dlc separately.

Honestly, play the PS2 Ace Combat games whenever you get the chance. They control pretty similar and they've aged pretty well.

The soundtracks are total bangers.
