One of the first things I sent was a Plasma Beam for Chrono! Hopefully that helps you survive wherever the random starting location puts you.

Started in West Maridia... Plasma was definitely a nice starting beam. In fact, I got a ton of nice stuff really quickly which let me breeze through this one.

Never did find charge beam, so I could only miss 10 missiles on mother brain -- Mewtwo sent me ten missiles during the fight as well though, so I made it through. Also spent a lot of time hunting for Kraid...

Congrats on the quick victory! I've gotten most of my checks in Hollow Knight, but there are a few I can't get and I need one more dreamer mask to beat the game.

I'm taking sign-ups for the next async on November 12th. Archipelago will likely be updating soon (on their discord, someone on October 26th said it would come out 'soon'), and it'll include some new games, but for all I know that could still be weeks away so I don't want to wait for it. If there's a lot of interest in any of the new games when they release, maybe we can have another async! For now, either send me yamls or let me know your changes if you're interested.

I just learned about this and we gave it a shot tonight. There were 5 of us doing different games. Most people were having no issue sending and receiving items, but while my LttP game could send items, I never received anything? No idea why. I was connected via lua sni.

if we can really get it working, it's super fun though! Anybody seen this issue?

I've never played LTTP myself unfortunately. Quite a few others here have and maybe they could help, but your best bet would be swinging by the Archipelago discord. It's odd that you could send and not receive, though.

I'm pretty sure when I've seen posts about sending but not receiving before it was an SNI connectivity issue. Whenever something like that happens, the way to clean it up is to shut everything (SNIClient, emulator, SNI itself, Lua) all down, then start it back up.

I've also heard about weird issues using QUsb2Snes instead of/alongside SNI, but that shouldn't be an issue for most people who are new to this, because QUsb2Snes is practically defunct software that's only really used by people who actually have something like sd2snes hardware and old LttP-only multiworld implementations that used it because SNI didn't exist yet.

yeah i use the snes9x-rr fork for lttp rando so I can use lua for emotracker anyway, so I just used the same for this

i'll give it another shot tonight though. My computer and internet was really chugging and needed a restart/update I think.

It's not yet, and the only real way to know is either to be in the AP discord with the OOT role where Espeon is posting updates occasionally (Apparently adding the pot/bush/etc shuffle is going quite smoothly) or keep an eye out for release notes.

Espeon works quite hard to keep things in sync with the main oot randomizer, but it's pretty much a one-man show for doing that and he can't/doesn't really start doing so until it's actually released.

Send me a reminder if I don't have a yaml posted by Friday, but I am planning on joining this one, just not sure what I want to play yet
