jonah literally went "I want to go clean" to shooting a guy in span of 10 minutes of the last episode and shit like that.

Yeah I wasnt really a fan of Marty going from the main character in season 1 to being a side character in the rest of the series

He also spoiled how the show ends - a gunshot cutting to black. So that's a big fuckin NOPE in my book, lol.

I adore Laura Linney, but I was never super interested in the show and I don't think the final season is making me want to watch it, ever.

In the end, it didn't feel like any of the characters actually had a character arc. Increasingly random things just kept happening to everybody, and they would flip a coin to decide how they would react.

I haven't watched beyond s1. Is it worth continuing?

The car crash they flash forwarded to was totally pointless. They literally got out, walked away, and got a cab.

There are parts of the show that are still great but damn if that isn't the stupidest most incompetent writing trick a teenager would know better than to use.

Wendy Byrde is one of the worst written characters ever imo. And Marty isn't too far off. The whole family is pretty bad tbh.

Also don't know how they expected the audience to believe Marty fucking Byrde could be the temp leader of the cartel. What a dumb fucking arc.

The problem is that it's completely unbelievable how she acts and everyone just rolls over for her. Like the most dangerous mfs in the show let her do her thing even though she's the cause of 80% of the problems.

It would have been better if she died. If anyone killed her. But preferably Jonah.

I would've liked it if they actually kept out the gunshot but still kept everything else the way it was. Jonah cocks gun, cut to Marty, cut to black, roll credits. Would've been a neat little "twist" IMO.

Agreed. Basically made this exact same post myself on numerous occasions on numerous forms of social media / texting / word of mouthing / etc. What a dumb fucking addition.

The season as a whole felt rushed beyond belief. I liked some of it. Camila needed more time to develop. Marty being temp cartel leader was an interesting arc IMO because of how it affected him mentally. You could see it was fucking with his brain after such a short period of time. Torturing the crooked drug dealer fucked with him. Looking down in that hole he himself was once in fucked with him. It wasn't long before he clearly was having issues. That dumbfuck in traffic started honking at him so Marty went and beat the shit out of him. Clearly a side effect of being lord for a bit. Would've liked to see that explored further.

Also lol at smart ass ruth, one of the smartest and savviest characters in the show, walking up, unarmed, to what is clearly a cartel SUV that she's seen a billion times before, sitting in her driveway in the dead of night. How the FUCK does the writing staff get away with having her be that fucking stupid just so they can but a bow on her storyline?

Some of the Wendy stuff kinda makes sense to me when you look at her family history of mental illness. Like yeah it's not a catch all for all of her actions, but IMO it does explain some of her irrational outbursts and lack of logic at times. It's shaky, but it at least holds a little water. Doesn't change the fact that the entire world should be rolling over for her of course.

I despised Wendy, and how she acted in the last two seasons hurt the overall quality of the show.

Yeah, that's just plain dumb. her death should be umm.. smarter? like she's actually cornered or ambushed. she did it before when nelson was chasing her. in that scene she just got off and peek inside the obvious cartel car. like bruth what
