Hey, this show was super huge when it originally debuted!

Season 2 was a let down but Season 3 brought some charm back.

Anybody else watching? Just finished episode 4 and I was on the edge of my seat.

Yeah this season has been incredible so far. really enjoyed Ep 1 in particular. The enhanced horror aspects stand-out a lot as a total pastiche of Nightmare on Elm Street. Been a really emotionally-charged season, I feel like the performances across the board have taken another step up from previous seasons. Watching ep. 4 tonight.

You'll love episode 4. I think after so many years, these kids have gotten pretty good at acting... Max's actress in particular feels so alive this episode. Like, I'm talking Emmy nomination for episode 4.

Also, episode 4 is good because it makes the worst plotline in the season better. The worst plotline of course being California stuff. Yawn.

watching episode 7 as i type this (wanted to do half now half later but in true binge fashion i know i won't be able to stop)

episode 4 ending (spoilers) GOAT, kept rewatching it even though I needed to go to sleep, Kate Bush music sales gonna go through the roof lol. Textbook edge-of-my-seat definition, yeah, literally not knowing whether she'll survive until the very moment when it shows her surviving. So good!

As I'm watching all I can think about are the scenes that I'm going to skip on a rewatch, whether it's setup scenes or really pretty much anything to do with Elle, but the stuff that's good continues to be great.

I'm excited!

Give Sadie Sink a nomination for that. For real.

And yeah, concerning El, How uninteresting of a start. I mean, I can get the whole bullying aspect, but making way too much of a big deal of her hitting a girl bullying her with a skate.

El has been the least interesting character in the show since the first season, but God, they're going to try with Paul Reiser and Matthew Modine, aren't they?

I'm on episode 6 right now, and I have to say, this might even be my favorite season if you could just drop a little bit of the El plotline. The episodes are way longer, and they feel shorter. That's impressive.

I'm on episode 5

I actually like El's plotline for what it is. Like that wasn't just "bullied girl hits back at bully haha", she full on smashed her in the face/head with a skate. Like the show said, that's an easy concussion. Their handling of the ramifications of that happening is like, yea that's pretty serious. Sure she got yoinked out of that plotline to the doctors, but it's still characterization for her and where else after juvie would it have gone really. Only thing I'm surprised by is that it took the police until the next day to get El, I would have expected that very night.

Overall this season seems darker than previous ones in a way, and that's fine by me

Omg this season

Just finished ep. 4 - yeah that was incredible. Literal chills. Running Up That Hill is one of my favorite songs too so it just made it everything hit so much harder.

I have to say that I had some trouble following some of the lore this season particularly because the other seasons were so long ago that I basically forgot some integral plot details.

Yeah, I'll admit that there were a couple points where I wished I had rewatched older seasons before starting this one.
