Only if it is determined to be profitable.

Having a midnight shift requires using a smaller available pool of workers that likely need to be paid more (since less people are willing to work it) AND a large enough customer base to shop during the time.

WinCo is still 24 hours.

Walmart definitely will not. Overnight is when it gets robbed the most and they were thinking about closing their stores before COVID.

My city one stopped like 5 years ago, but it kinda sense here because it was mostly troublesome junkies after midnight

I hope so. Overnight is pretty much the only time I ever went to Wal-mart and it's very frustrating now to have to find time during the day.

The H-E-B grocery store used to be open until 1am and they close at 11pm now and although not as bad, it seems a little early to me as well. Midnight would be better at least.

Walmart can hardly find anyone for the day shifts.

Same, cuz sometimes you just need to make a 1 AM pizza or snack run. Also, it was great getting games and/or movies right at Midnight on release days.

We had Walmart worker here and I asked him. He said it doesn't look like it. And that suck that is when I went to Walmart.

Dang, I always wanted to do the "Stay in a Walmart for 24 hours challenge".

Sure, when they mainstream the self check out process to have you pay digitally as you walk out with the stuff you took from the shelves.

But yeah. i work swings. it was always nice going after work at 3am when the whole world wasnt there

Just got back..not many people there at 6:30. But still nothing like those 3 am runs.

There is something magical about being out in the world with no one else is up. I remember once in college getting up early and just walking around at 5:00 AM (a bit after the sun was out) and it was fascinating seeing barely anyone around. Early morning was probably the only time the campus wasn't crowded.

Wal-Mart at 3am is like being on a different planet

Not if they don't have to.
Corporations have just found a new gear for greed.
It all has to do with the fact that see paying basically minimum wage employees as too much of an expense.
