For the first time in ages you sent an incredibly talented artist who also has buckets of charm. He sang a good song which many of us non-UK:ers think sounds like an Elton John song. Elton John is very popular around Europe. He also had a great staging. I thought our song was okay before the night (definitely our best since Children of the Universe, but not exceptional), but Sam's performance at the main event really elevated it. He absolutely smashed it, and it was nice to feel proud of our entry for once. Ukraine deserved the win, though. As a Brit I didn't actually like the song. Thought it was boring and sounded like a bad pop song from 2014. Well, until the night. Compared to all the boring ballads his song was standout. But I still preferred Moldova, Serbia, and Ukraine. --- Ghosts are cool. ... Copied to Clipboard!
