Never lost in the woods and I have been alone at night a few times. It is kinda where I live.

I haven't been lost in the woods, but I've been in the woods at night. Both alone and with other people.

I used to go camping when I was younger. It's a large part of what helped further my hatred for nature in all its forms.

The best part is when it's dark enough that you start seeing movement in the shadows around you. And then your adrenaline kicks in. And then you start seeing even more movement.

And the cold, rational, logical part of your brain tells you that you're just seeing things. But the caveman part of your brain starts pointing out that it could also be a bear, so maybe you should gtfo.

And then the Hollywood-influenced crazy person part of your brain starts whispering that it's probably werewolves.

Yes, occasionally, but not for very long.

I don't think I have because I don't go to the woods much. If you mean figuratively, I feel I'm always lost in the woods. I feel that I never get what's going on.

Our ranch is large and woody, closest to the woods I have ever been. Its impossible to get lost in. Even for someone who never been on the ranch. its 300 acres, which isn't large, but has roads that run north to south every 100 yards. So going in one direction will lead very easily to a road or the fence line

Went off track on a mountain trail relatively recently. Wound up climbing down through leaves up to my armpits. Thankfully we had reception and knew where the road was. It was quite unpleasant but not traumatic.

This is where I spent some summers as a kid. This river use to have dunes. And a long time ago use to be a Ferry Crossing. Our house was a lodge.

Anywho, we had about 250 acres to the East of that road from the river back and double from the house South.

We had found gold in a hidden stream with giant rocks to the left of the road. And back in 1993 it looks way different. Hell, they were building houses there in 1999 when we sold it.

It was about 6pm. I had been walking around there since after lunch. Literally no one comes there but hunters that aren't supposed to be there.

Well, I stayed until it was too dark and got lost. Ended up double the distance away from the house to the west and found myself the Broad River so I kinda knew how to get back. But if you've ever been in the woods at twilight, it's fucking scary.

Long story short, I made it half way back and a bullet whizzed by my ear along with a gun shot from the south west. I ran my ass off full bore 100% adrenaline back home.

Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom! Five more shots. Got home, cut the shit out of myself on the barbedwire separator. Called the police, etc etc.

Lost in the woods and some asshole trying to shoot me because no one was around.

Anyway, I dont think Ive been alone for long periods of time. Sometimes, I might go a little further to pee or something. But I would rather get lost in there with close friends. We always have fun together

Some guy on the bus when I was a kid told me there was a secret place if you stayed in the Lost Woods and kept going ways that didn't lead you back to the beginning or end. This was back before Google or any way to confirm it so you couldn't know they were bullshitting you.

Same thing with reviving General Leo in FF6. I don't know why I thought that was possible. How dumb. There are so many people that got away with spreading that kinda bullshit back in the day.

Yes. Two times I can think of once with a group sober during the day. Another time alone and absolutely fubar on drugs. Like I I stumbling tripping and falling the whole way. I found my way though I knew the woods like the back of my hand it was just dark as fuck out and I was high beyond imagination.

The one with the group though ex bf had a semi genius solution. As we went along he would let out a convincing dog bark noise. Eventually we got some dogs barking back and went that direction and ended up in someone's backyard.

Ive never gotten lost but Ive been on trails into nightfall on an overcast day. It was completely pitch black and I had no source of light. Luckily I was very familiar with the trail and was able to get out by memory. Pretty scary how dark it was, felt almost like being in a cave. There was a creepy owl hooting but it sounded cool.

A bunch of school mates got lost during a school camp in the snow

We were hiking uphill on a road when they decided to take a shortcut, next thing they knew they were lost and stuck til the sun came up

When they were found they said once they realized they were lost they tossed a baseball cap in the air and headed in the direction the cap was pointing ._.

Yes. I go walking/hiking on a regular bases and one time me and my bro went so far into some woods every direction looked the same so we were lost as we didn't know the woods that well. We figured if we walked in one direction we will eventually find a exist and we did.

Spent a lot of time in the woods, but never 'lost'. Always had a compass or a satellite phone on me.

I've never been lost in the woods. I've always been on hiking trails and never alone.

Never really been lost in the woods. I've done quite a bit of solo camping though. Definitely experienced some strange stuff out there. Only one really bad experience. I won't go in the woods too deep now without a rifle because of it.

If you live around safe forests/woods that aren't inhabited by bears, try and sleep deep in the woods and listen to the sounds. Make sure it's woods with no people around for a while.

You'll hear shit you won't believe. Part of why the Blair Witch Project scared me the way it did was because I knew how scary the woods could be at night.

So if you think you're a real tough guy, go tent out in the deep woods one night. Just one night. You'll walk out a believer.
