Highlights of my life: -I'm dating a woman and stuck on thinking about how unlikely us meeting was. -I'm preparing to go back to school in the Fall to begin finishing off my long-awaited Social Work degree -I am trans and have been out-out since January, and on hormones since last June (that's right, my 1 year HRT-versery is around the corner. I promise you'll like it! -I recently started injecting my estrogen, and it's easier to stick a needle in my thigh once a week than I thought it would be. Not great at it yet though. -I attended a game night at the lady's place May 1st and we hope to have another next week. We played Settlers of Catan. Lady was reluctant to play, but we convinced her to step in when some one had to leave and she had lots of fun playing. And also won ~~damn her!~~. I'm currently reading The Invisible Bridge: The Fall of Nixon and the Rise of Reagan by Rick Perlstein. The title comes from something Nikita Khruschev said to Nixon: "If the people believe there's an imaginary river out there, you don't tell them there's no river. You build an imaginary bridge over the imaginary river." Reading the chapter on the intense backlash to desegregate schools and introduce more multicutural material was quite uncomfortable, because of how closely it mirrored the CRT delusion. Said friend I would have never became friends with had I not wore a particular shirt. A shirt I practically had to beg my grandad to buy for me. We didn't work out but it was probably the second best period of my life when it came to my personal happiness. How different would my life be today had I not had that shirt? Also to add when I finally came out to him I had just gotten a new hairstyle that day and he later told me he hated my old one but loved the new one. Just a list of lucky coincidences and timing. And I feel ya on the covid scare. I work at a prison and they always put me either where the hot cases are or where there had been a outbreak. Somehow haven't gotten it that i know of. Think I got it before it was big news but I wasn't officially diagnosed with it. Sickness spreads like wildfire in a prison so I'm lucky. Especially since I suck at washing my hands after touching shit and I eat mostly finger food at work and touch my face around the eyes a lot. I wash my hands it's just more on a time scale rather than after touching something. Sorry can't think of any questions off the top of my head. Good luck on your journey though with the transition. Well, I guess when I go out, a burger is one of the likeliest things I'll get. But I'm not sure it would be my absolute favorite thing ever, even though I love a quality burger. Injecting is definitely different: I'm getting more estrogen now, at the low, low cost of jabbing my thigh (you alternate) once a week. You get a huge rush of estrogen within an hour or two of injecting (my lady likened it to how she feels when she's ovulating, adding, "I love estrogen lol") that makes me kind of giggly and happy, then you kind of taper off over the course of the week. My boobs are already sore again. As for tune? You'll have to expand that back a bit. Another difficult question. Though I haven't experienced Pakistani food specfically, I have never been disappointed by Indian. I don't have any one favorite (beyond favoring lamb dishes). It's all so flavorful and delicious! And you've gotta have some naan on the side!
