Im not sure how I feel about it yet. The missions are annoying though which sucks because theres 4 characters locked behind them

Agree about the missions. Made it to the restock house in the first mission and got killed in an ambush. Had to start all over so I shut it off.

I dont have psplus yet, so I haven't played online.

The missions are hard as fuck, I can't beat the 3rd one. But the game itself in multiplayer is a blast. I love it.

ya missions suck but managed to knock them out a few days ago. im digging it, but its got your typical shit for these kinds games with the mp tho...

The naked ones (the ones that look like theyre phasing and can split into two) barely take damage from bullets. The game doesnt tell you this and puts the melee weapons behind the waypoint marker. So you need to avoid it and go for the melee weapon. Kinda dumb for that faction because the common guys will just explode if you kill them outside of a finisher.

Yeah, I figured that out, but they hit like mack trucks and it's easy to get mobbed and die pretty quickly. I usually bolt there and grab the fire axe but damn they suck.

I'm confused as to why so many people are playing an objective games and don't do the objective? Losing so much as survivor because people refuse to read or follow pings and the demon just gets strong and tears us apart

It will probably take a month for all the new players who don't know what they are doing to lose interest, and the ones who stick with it and like it will start to make public lobbies more competitive. It just has new player overload at the moment, similar games were the same in my experience.

It looks like it has Remnant: From the Ashes gameplay, but focuses more on melee. And melee was only serviceable in Remnant. That's why it was more focused on guns

Idk it varies. I tried the demon once and got stomped. Part of the problem is the game doesnt tell you what to do half the time.

is there no way to play demon with bots? wanted to get a few of those in just to get the feel, but i dont see any way to do it...

Nope! And my first game was obviously a group because they split up and did the objectives lightning fast. I was only threat level 10 at the end. I didnt know you couldnt even make portals level 1.

It is true that if the demon player has a build going and the solo queue survivors are derping around then you're going to lose matches quickly. The power band ramps up much faster for the demon, to the point where it might hurt the title's prospects for longevity. I.e. new players get frustrated and write the game off as 'unbalanced trash'.

E.g. for Puppeteer you can get a "permanent" possession build going, one which recovers energy as you strike survivors, and quickly kill anyone who has separated, even in the first 3-4 minutes of the match. Even basic Deadites can swarm survivors afterward if they don't know about how to get the most out of finisher moves: use them when the red skull appears over a Deadite to kill them while being completely invulnerable to damage.

I've had a variance in survivor games. It is easy to solo queue into a bunch of dummies, but even then I've had a good spread of people that know what they were doing and people that ignored reality. Even if YOU yourself know what to do, you can stand a pretty good chance of at least getting decently far into a match. Survivors sometimes act like it's Friday the 13th where you can take your time a bit, but in reality, you need to bolt to a spot, grab what you can, and start doing objectives ASAP. The longer you take, the stronger the monster, the worse off you'll be. Once the community starts understanding that it will work out way better.

It's really annoying how I get these massive frame drops when someone starts summoning a lot of units as Warlord.

Man this game has bugs

I just played a game as Puppeteer where i lost the ability to demon dash and possess... you know, the two most important things about that army.

Also massive frame drops occasionally. Usually when Warlord units get spammed but it happened to me in that same game I was playing demon. I have an 3070 this should not be happening

IIRC you're stuck waiting until your Boss is off cooldown. Definitely sucks when it happens.

its fun but very buggy. ive gotten stuck in terrain multiple times. one match i got to the necronomicon phase at full health with an active amulet and just randomly insta died in the blink of an eye with a message that the demon possessed me. i raged pretty hard lol

Its the most fun Ive had with a game since Doom Eternal, and DE is my favorite game of all time. Once the bugs get ironed out I think it could be truly great.

So yeah Im pretty sure the PC version at the very least has a memory leak.

The game is super fun but its plagued by bugs - heres to hoping the devs fix them in a reasonable time frame.

It's not a genre I like, so I'm ignoring it.
