I don't watch anything NBA ever.

I watch like all hockey.

Hockey is by far the best mainstream sport. Football is boring with the stop and go nature and the CONSTANT commercial breaks. Baseball is entertaining in a relaxing way, but is much better in person than on TV. Basketball I just find boring at its core. At the NBA level, it's just a bunch of guys running back and forth from one end to the other, shooting the ball into the net and hoping that the other team misses so they can get a point up on them. That may be my ignorance of the depth of the game, but at a surface level it's like watching paint dry. Soccer is just too slow paced and suffers from some of the issues that basketball does where it's less about making good plays and more about hoping that key players on the other team make a mistake (especially penalty kicks which are unbearable to watch)

Yep, I get the same feeling from basketball. I kinda never feel like the game actually matters until the end, which takes forever with all the fouls and timeouts.

I don't watch Soccer. I do watch Football sometimes. I watched a pretty significant portion of the three EPL matches that were televised earlier today. I have zero interest in the MLS.

Actually I know the last time I watched an NBA game.

I watched the end of game 7 of Bucks/Nets last year because the Nets annoy me and I was rooting for them to lose.

(I live in New York and wow did I get sick of hearing about Harden/Kyrie drama like every single day. This time it was Kyrie and Simmons. Team is so unlikable I just want them to shut up and go away.)

Well that's kinda the core of half of all sports. Including hockey! Moving from one side to the other trying to score. Granted there's a lot more going on in hockey, but compare basketball to soccer and tell me there's a huge difference (soccer is still better though).

That said I don't care as much for basketball either, though I would still watch it over football and definitely baseball, which is my absolute least favorite sport. So incredibly boring. It's kinda cool when they hit the ball with a bat but that doesn't happen frequently enough to keep me entertained.

Anyway easy NHL vote. No better sport exists. The level of skill, physicality, and teamwork ethic hockey players have is incredible.

This perfectly sums up the problem with basketball.

I don't follow either one basically at all until playoffs. I find them both annoying and laborous to follow in the regular season and offseason, but I do try to follow both playoffs.

And as for right now, my local team is still in the NBA but 60 saves was not enough to keep them in the NHL. So I care about the NBA more.

Let me rephrase a bit. Basketball is 95% of the time "run across the court with the ball and try to get the ball in, and the other team will either recover the rebound and repeat the process, or we score and the other team repeats the process". In hockey you will more often see plays where one team will get multiple scoring chances before the puck gets cleared, and due to the icing rule, you can't just rifle the puck to the other team's side without forcing a faceoff in your own zone. The game is much more dynamic and interesting as a result.

Definitely won't disagree with you there. They can also go several minutes without any breaks in the action. Which you certainly can't say for basketball... or any other sport that I'm familiar with for that matter.
